I’ve owned several Dell computers over the years, and my previous laptop was an HP that broke down after just three years. The base cracked, making it impossible to close the cover, and it also ran sluggishly. After some research, I discovered this Dell model. The HP was larger, which created some issues, so this size is much better for me. The only drawback I overlooked when ordering is that it doesn’t have backlit keys. I’ve had that feature on previous Dells, and once you experience it, you really miss it. Overall, it’s been a great laptop so far.

I have been using Dell laptops, workstations, servers, and network switches for 30 years. During this time, I’ve only had one server motherboard replaced under warranty, while all my other hardware has exceeded its life expectancy, with some devices lasting a decade or more without any problems. You can’t go wrong with a Dell product. My laptop performs flawlessly, and the build quality is exceptional, just like all their other offerings. Highly recommend!

I have serious reservations about this Dell Inspiron laptop. When you buy a product from a “Dell Vendor,” you expect it to be a fully authentic Dell product. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with this laptop. Just three days after the Amazon/Vendor return policy expired, it stopped working with an error message stating “Corrupt Hard Drive.” I understand that electronic devices can have problems and that manufacturers need to set limits on returns. We contacted Dell Warranty Service, which was helpful; they sent a box and a prepaid shipping label, and we thought the issue would be resolved quickly. However, we learned from the Dell Warranty Center that this laptop contains a third-party hard drive, not one provided or installed by Dell. As a result, it couldn’t be repaired under warranty. Dell has offered to fix it and install the correct hard drive, but the repair cost is nearly the same as what we paid for the laptop on Amazon. This is completely unacceptable! We assumed we were buying a new Dell laptop with components that met Dell’s approval. BEWARE of ROKC Electronics. They have provided NO assistance or compassion, leaving us out of pocket with a completely useless laptop. I can only imagine that if we had returned it within the window, they would have replaced it with the same non-Dell parts, leading to similar issues later on. This is not how a business should operate, and it certainly reflects poorly on an Amazon vendor. I am extremely disappointed!

I’ve been a loyal Dell customer for the past ten years and have purchased only Dell computers during that time. I’ve always been pleased with their performance and value for money. My latest purchase is no exception, and I’m very satisfied with it.

It arrived in good condition, just as I expected.

The advertisement failed to mention that the computer comes with Windows 11 Pro N. This version lacks essential features like media playback for movies and videos, as it’s primarily designed for business use. Knowing this before purchase would have been crucial, as those missing features were exactly what we needed.
While the computer was advertised as new, it actually came with an outdated version of Windows Pro N 21 H 2. It took several hours to update to version 23 H 2. Additionally, we had to manually install all the missing components for media compatibility, as they were relocated from their original positions and required a search through Windows to locate.
There was a delay in delivery, which can happen from time to time.

I returned three “refurbished” Amazon laptops, which was quite frustrating and a hassle. Each one had issues. In the past, refurbished electronics were reliable and a great value. Eventually, I decided to go with a new Dell model featuring Windows 11. It meets all my needs without any problems. The keyboard is backlit, the design is appealing, and the performance is flawless. Opt for new—it’s definitely worth it.
