We bought several of these for our lab to use as GPGPU primarily for deep learning. After installing them in our HP Z4 workstations, they performed exactly as expected. While I can’t evaluate their gaming or graphical application performance, I can confirm that they handle our 2K monitors without any issues between computations.
This alone makes us happy customers, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that the card works with our unique power supplies. Most PSU manufacturers provide additional PCIe power through 8-pin connectors, but HP workstations are different, offering 150+W through a 6-pin PCIe connector, which typically supports only 75W. The nice surprise was that this GPU accepts our 6-pin connectors and operates at full power, unlike other GPUs we’ve tried that wouldn’t start without an adapter.
Overall, these are excellent and affordable GPGPU devices that we highly recommend.
