Pros: These are the first pillows I’ve purchased from Amazon that were free of mildew or mold, which is a significant advantage. I had to discard two other brands bought around the COVID period for that reason. After unwrapping one of these vacuum-sealed pillows, we allowed it to fluff up for three days on a flat surface. Following that, we tossed it in the dryer for about half an hour, as many reputable brands recommend, even though these pillows didn’t come with specific instructions. This step enhanced its fluffiness and made it more uniform since part of it had been exposed due to a slit in the shrink wrap. After two weeks of use, the pillow quickly regains its original fluffiness once you lift your head off. It had no odors and smelled fresh right out of the packaging.
Cons: The only downside is that while the pillow appears thick and fluffs up nicely, it offers minimal neck support when you lay your head on it. It feels similar to my six-month-old Sealy pillow, which has flattened out over time. This pillow’s filling seems less synthetic than many I’ve used recently, which is a positive. Before my disability, I traveled frequently and loved hotel pillows that were plush yet provided excellent neck support. Unfortunately, this pillow compresses too much, making it difficult to breathe comfortably when lying on my side, as the fluff shifts up near my face. If you prefer a flatter pillow while lying down but still want good quality, this would be suitable. I personally like thicker pillows that maintain some height during use. The pillows look exactly as pictured—fluffy and soft—but I’ve never experienced a pillow of this thickness collapsing so much when laid upon. I hope that as I break it in, I’ll be able to redistribute the filling for better thickness, but that hasn’t been possible so far.
Final thoughts: These are well-made, fluffy pillows with no support. They are odorless and constructed well. While they appear as advertised, they lack the support one would expect from a thick pillow. For me, as a picky pillow person, this is practically the perfect pillow. This is my unbiased review, and while others may have different opinions, I give it a solid 5 stars! If you’re looking for a super supportive firmer pillow, this isn’t it. If you want a softer, no-filling type pillow, this also isn’t it. It strikes a perfect balance for all sleep positions, making it ideal for me.
