While this oil does help hair appear thicker with regular use, a healthy lifestyle maximizes its effectiveness. The oil itself is clear, lightweight, and has a pleasant scent reminiscent of Pantene Shampoo, thanks to the inclusion of Panthenol, a natural ingredient derived from plants that acts as Vitamin B5. The pump bottle is easy to use, non-greasy, and dries quickly, keeping the hair moisturized all day.
We apply VERB Ghost Oil (along with a few other oils like Jojoba Oil) after our nightly baths. If I could give this oil ten stars, I absolutely would. This oil is an ideal lightweight solution for frizz! It has a subtle scent and isn’t sticky or tacky. It leaves hair soft, shiny, and free of frizz.

This serum is excellent and seems to be effective for both thin and thick hair. However, if you struggle with numerous flyaways or split ends, it might not meet your expectations. It’s not an oil, despite its name; I would categorize it as a serum. Its consistency is comparable to Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum—neither too runny nor overly thick, making it light enough not to leave your hands or hair feeling sticky or greasy.
The scent is barely noticeable—just a very light, clean fragrance that’s so subtle that it hardly bears mentioning. I have fine hair that feels thick overall, and I experience significant breakage and shedding, resulting in constant regrowth and those pesky baby hairs sticking up at my part. This serum offers minimal control over that issue. I don’t find it as effective as my Paul Mitchell serum in that regard.
However, it does leave my hair shiny and soft without weighing it down, which is a plus. It also makes heat styling easier, allowing my flat iron to glide through my hair smoothly when I use this serum. I recommend starting with one to two pumps, depending on your hair length, distributing it mainly to the ends, and using any leftover product on your hands to tame flyaways on top.
It may work better for some in terms of controlling those little hairs, but managing them is always challenging, regardless of the product. Overall, this is one of the nicer serums I’ve used recently. When applied in the right amount, it feels almost weightless and doesn’t leave any residue in the hair (though I would still recommend clarifying once a week after using a serum). Remember, less is more—you can always add more next time, but too much can make your hair look piecey.
In conclusion, this serum is definitely worth trying for its quality and performance. I’m not sure if I would repurchase it since my other serum works slightly better for my hair, but I do like it, am glad I bought it, and will certainly finish the bottle eventually.
