I’ve only tested it on sheer cotton fabric, so I can’t comment on its performance with thicker materials. However, for my Regency ball gown project, it has been a real time saver. I’ve been assembling a longarm and finding it quite space-consuming, leaving me with insufficient room for a cutting station. To solve this, I used a piece of thin plywood, attaching pressing fabric on one side and a cutting mat on the other. While I haven’t permanently adhered them yet, it fits perfectly, works great for cutting fabric, and has the ideal weight for my needs.
