I waited a bit before sharing my thoughts after using these bags. I’ve been using the small suitcase regularly for work, as I spend nearly three weeks a month traveling. I use it in my car and as a cabin bag on flights. Initially, I was hesitant about this type of suitcase since I had been using a fabric Samsonite for three years. However, this bag has impressed me with its capacity. My old suitcase is larger (24″), yet this one holds up comparably. So far, it has performed well and offers great storage space.
For the large suitcase, I took a trip from León to Mexico, then to Amsterdam and Tel Aviv. I left with 25 kg and returned with 29 kg without any issues; it rolled smoothly through the airports, even fully loaded, and still looks good. While some scratches are to be expected, it doesn’t appear overly damaged. I’m hoping for at least two years of use from the small suitcase, and I don’t use the others as frequently. My wife purchased a medium Samsonite, which will serve as a point of comparison. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase.

I’m pleased to update my review to 5 stars because the company reached out to resolve my issue. They offered to replace the suitcase with the broken zipper, and I am now satisfied with the new one.
Initially, I was thrilled with these suitcases; they look fantastic! I purchased them as Christmas gifts for my family in anticipation of our upcoming trip to Hawaii. Unfortunately, they didn’t even make it through the first leg of the journey.
On the positive side, they are incredibly lightweight, and the four wheels make maneuvering a breeze. I was eager to see them in action. However, upon arrival in Hawaii, I was disappointed to find that the medium-sized suitcase had split open at the zipper. At first, I thought TSA might have forgotten to zip it back up, but upon closer inspection, I realized the zipper had malfunctioned—not due to overpacking, as it weighed only 20 pounds.
I attempted to fix the zipper as best as I could. On our return flight, I requested some tape from the ticket agent “just in case” it split open again, fearing I might lose my belongings. She kindly provided tape, and we wrapped the suitcase securely. Unfortunately, upon returning home, I discovered that the zipper had once again busted open.
Clearly, I can’t trust this suitcase for air travel, as it poses a risk of losing all my possessions. I could understand this issue after years of use or if I had overpacked, but this was its very first trip and it was only partially full. That’s simply unacceptable. Regrettably, my return window closed just four days before my trip, so I missed the chance to return it. I wish I had realized sooner how unreliable the zippers are. I’m now hesitant to use these suitcases in the future, leaving me feeling like my money was wasted.

We needed new luggage for our upcoming trips to Europe and North Africa this summer, and on paper, this set seemed like the best value. After our first trips to Morocco and Portugal, it still appears to be the top deal on Amazon. The combination of PVC and ABS materials is sturdy, and the rounded corners give me confidence in its durability and impact resistance. This set stands out for having two expandable bags (large and medium) and features a divider with two built-in zipper pockets (one mesh) as well as an additional top-to-bottom pocket along the hinge, perfect for small items like cosmetics and toiletries. The wheels glide smoothly, and the lock and zippers function perfectly.
We also purchased a Fanskey luggage set at the same time. While it has smooth YKK zippers on the outside that feel nice, the interior zippers are less impressive, and it lacks the additional interior pocket and expandable mid-size bag (only the large one expands). I believe the Showkoo is likely the better option for most people due to its features and impact resistance. However, for my recent trip, I found the Fanskey slightly more preferable because its flatter sides and sharper corners, along with the slick zippers, made packing a bit easier. Ultimately, it’s a close call, and color preferences may dictate your choice.
One concern with the Showkoo is that the total dimensions of the large bag exceed many airlines’ size restrictions, primarily due to the rounded corners. However, if you measure the circumference with a flexible tape measure, you’ll find it matches the flatter-sided Fanskey bags we bought. In practice, airlines tend to prioritize the weight of the bag over its exact dimensions. We even managed to get away with a few extra pounds on our return flights, so I wouldn’t worry too much. If you find a color you like (my wife loves the bright green), I’d say go for it. Personally, I would probably choose the Fanskey again in shiny navy blue, just like I did this time.
