This storage bench is beautiful and appears much more expensive than its actual price. Assembling it was a bit challenging due to some longer pieces, but the instructions were clear. My only concern arose after we set it up on our back deck; shortly after, we experienced a strong windstorm. Since we haven’t replaced the trees lost in the 2021 EF4 tornado, the wind really swirls around the back of the house. I kept hearing a thumping sound and eventually realized it was the bench getting tossed around on the deck! It was quite amusing, and I’ve learned to add some weight inside it to prevent this from happening again. Thankfully, nothing was damaged—our house, the deck, and the bench all remained intact. It’s very sturdy!

I purchased this storage box for my back porch to keep pool toys organized and to provide extra seating. As I was assembling it, I did have some frustrations about its quality; there were a few areas that seemed poorly drilled. However, since it’s made of plastic, those issues were easy to fix. Initially, it felt a bit flimsy, but once I secured all the metal bars and tightened everything down, it turned out to be quite sturdy. I was pleasantly surprised by the storage capacity—it easily held 4 pool noodles, an inflatable basketball hoop, 2 small ring floats, and my pool vacuum. I even managed to fit the floats in without deflating them! There’s still some extra space, and it’s completely waterproof. I keep it on my covered back porch, so it doesn’t get wet from rain, but I’ve placed damp toys inside at night, and it’s always dry by morning. It comfortably seats 2 adults, and I’m really glad I chose this despite the mixed reviews!

It’s true that some pieces didn’t “click” together as expected, and I did receive a broken part. Nonetheless, I was still able to assemble the bench and contacted the manufacturer for a replacement part. The process was straightforward through an online form, and I could also call or email if needed. They only asked, “What color bench did you order?” without any hassle.
I don’t expect everything to be flawless; what matters is how issues are handled. Fortunately, I can still use the bench while waiting for the replacement. The broken part is at the back, but since it’s against a wall, the wall provides support while I wait. Given that the bench only cost $150, I’m really impressed with what I received, especially after comparing it to similar storage benches at higher prices.

My only concern is the bottom of the storage bin, which is made of plastic but resembles thick cardboard—it’s hard to describe. I plan to store mainly cushions and other lightweight items, so I don’t foresee issues, but I wouldn’t recommend placing anything heavy in there as it could damage the bottom. I hope these benches prove to be durable over time. I’ve owned a few other Keter products, so I was excited to see they offer benches with storage—definitely a win!
