I bought this to see if we could avoid barbecuing outside during the winter, and it works wonderfully. There’s a little bit of smoke, but it’s not a big deal. While it doesn’t replicate the classic barbecue flavor, it’s definitely better than shivering outside by the grill in the snow.

The Ninja Sizzle stands out from other indoor nonstick grills with its impressive ability to reach 500 degrees. Higher temperatures significantly enhance the taste, color, and texture of foods that benefit from charring. I’m puzzled why Ninja suggests lower temperatures for most foods. Today, I had a revelation in my burger-making journey. Despite years of cooking, I could never quite achieve that perfect restaurant-quality cheeseburger. But today, I realized my mistake.
I prepared some fresh 80/20 ground beef on the Sizzle using the grill plate. After seasoning the meat and allowing the grill to warm up for 7 minutes, I placed a heavy burger press over all four patties simultaneously, applying occasional pressure. I always believed that pressing the burger would enhance contact and char, but I was wrong! The juice and fat, which are essential for flavor and juiciness, drained into the grill’s fat gutter. I now think that pressing out the juices cools down the grill, preventing the Maillard reaction and resulting in a lack of char on the meat surface. The burgers turned out okay, but they lacked the desired char and flavor.
Feeling disheartened, I let the grill cool down, cleaned it, and decided to test a small burger batch without pressing at all. I simply tossed the patties on, turned them a quarter after 3-4 minutes, flipped once, and did the same for the other side, allowing the grill to preheat on high for 10-12 minutes. Wow! This was probably the best burger I’ve ever made. No juice was lost, and the char was excellent since I didn’t press at all. It’s amazing how such a simple change can make a huge difference.
As for the Ninja Sizzle, it truly is fantastic—whether used as a griddle or grill. It’s easy to clean, produces much less smoke, and features straightforward one-dial cooking. I own about six Ninja products and love each one. They are high quality, and I highly recommend them.

Unfortunately, the item arrived from America with the wrong plug and it blew the fuse for me.

Ninja has outdone themselves once again! This gorgeous high-heat grill comes with two plates: one for achieving those perfect grill marks on steaks and a flat plate ideal for pancakes or, even better, indoor smash burgers! It works like a charm, crisping the patties just right. I absolutely love it! Living in a small open-plan space, I had no issues with smoke even at high temperatures, and it’s super easy to clean. I don’t regret this purchase at all and would definitely buy it again. It’s spacious enough for a steak and a couple of fruit or veggie skewers. While a larger size might be helpful for bigger families, I’m very satisfied with it.

I’m comparing this grill to the Hamilton Beach Searing Grill that I had for 3 years. Unfortunately, the dial recently broke, leaving me unable to control the temperature. I loved the Hamilton Beach and was ready to repurchase it, but as a fan of Ninja products, I decided to give this grill a try.
Hamilton Beach: Approximately $70
Ninja: Approximately $120
Hamilton Beach: Low profile, which I appreciated.
Ninja: Extremely low profile, even better!
Hamilton Beach: Comes with a removable, windowed lid.
Ninja: Features a removable, vented lid.
Hamilton Beach: Temperature dial goes up to 450°F, with a light that indicates when the temperature is reached.
Ninja: Dial reaches up to 500°F, but the light only indicates power.
Hamilton Beach: Open grates allow grease to drain into a pan below, which I lined with aluminum foil for easy disposal.
Ninja: Closed “grate” design, where most grease drains into a ditch at the front of the grill.
Hamilton Beach: Both the lid and grate are dishwasher safe, though the grate needs a soft brush for stubborn food. The grease pan is large, removable, and easy to clean in the dishwasher, but grease splatters on the inside walls need to be cleaned by hand.
Ninja: The lid has many small vent holes and is also dishwasher safe. The grate has a smooth surface for easy wiping down, though I’m hesitant to put it in the dishwasher to protect the nonstick coating. The grate and grease catcher are a single piece, which helps contain splatters, keeping the base cleaner.
Hamilton Beach: One grill plate.
Ninja: The GR101 model includes a second interchangeable griddle plate.
Both grills have similar grate sizes, but the Ninja seems to have heating elements that cover a larger surface area. The Hamilton Beach has its heating element enclosed on the bottom, while the Ninja’s heat elements cover the entire bottom, exposing more of the grill to heat. Both can easily fit four large hamburgers.
I’m uncertain about the Ninja’s vented lid; time will tell if it performs as well as a fully covered lid.
Ninja Pros:
Hamilton Beach Pros:
Ninja Cons:
Overall, I’m very pleased with the Ninja grill and would recommend it to anyone. It’s well-made, effective, easy to store and clean, and cooks wonderfully. My only significant complaint is the lack of an indicator light. I’m looking forward to making more meals and trying out the griddle!

I had high expectations for this Ninja grill since I’m a big fan of their products. Unfortunately, being a US import means you’ll need a US to UK plug adapter. On my first use, the heating element blew out. While I was able to return it for a refund, I still incurred costs for the plug adapter and had to find suitable packaging for the return postage. If you’re in the UK, I wouldn’t recommend this product.

This grill is exceptional! After using a Hamilton Beach that stopped heating properly after four years, we did our research and decided to purchase this model instead of the 6-in-1. We preferred having a separate grill and air fryer, and this one received better reviews.
We also considered a more affordable option without a griddle, and I’m so glad we chose this model because the griddle is fantastic. In my largest frying pan, I could only cook 5 slices of bacon at a time, constantly rotating them for even cooking. With this grill, I can easily fit 8 slices all at once, thanks to its excellent heat distribution.
Our previous grill left grease spots underneath, often missing the drip tray, but this one has none of those issues. It heats up more than the last one, and it seems to cook at around 400° even when set between 350° to 375°. I’ve found myself turning it down more than the instructions recommend.
It’s user-friendly and easy to clean, plus it looks sleek and modern on the countertop.
The only two downsides are that it lacks a light to indicate when it has reached the cooking temperature, and it didn’t come with a complimentary Ninja Throwing Star, which I was really hoping for.
I hope you enjoy this grill as much as we do if you decide to get it!

The product itself is good, but it didn’t come with a plug, so I had to order an adapter, which I found disappointing. It arrived on time, and I experienced no other issues.
