This has been one of my best investments ever. It beats using the terrible washer in my apartment. It’s user-friendly and cleans clothes effectively. While it can’t hold as much as a full-size washer, I find that two loads are roughly equivalent to just over one full-size load. It offers various water levels, allowing for small loads or up to 12 pounds. There are also multiple washing and rinsing programs available. I’ve had it for less than a week and have already completed 8 loads. If you have to pay for laundry, this is definitely worth it. I recommend getting a dolly for easier mobility, and I also upgraded the laundry hose and tap adapters from what was included.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I hope this information helps you since it took me several days to research the right parts to buy. I wanted to avoid wasting both time and money, especially since I wasn’t familiar with plumbing terms.
After 9 years of use, my Haier HLP23E portable washing machine finally gave out. This new machine has a smaller footprint and is shorter, making it visually less obtrusive. At 5′ 3″, it comes up to my hip. It’s lighter too, thanks to its plastic exterior instead of metal, but it has about two-thirds the capacity of the Haier. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to wash my thin duvet or quilted cotton coverlet in it, although I wasn’t meant to do that with the Haier either, which managed just fine.
The electrical cord is thinner, and the provided plastic inlet hose is much shorter and doesn’t fit my kitchen sink faucet, so I ended up discarding it. Moving the machine was a challenge until I placed inexpensive furniture sliders under the legs, allowing it to glide easily over the linoleum and into position by my kitchen sink. I opted not to spend more on casters or a dolly.
I purchased some parts on Amazon to address the hose issue, which cost me $26 including tax, and since I have Prime, delivery was free. Everything arrived within two days of ordering, except for one item that was difficult to find in plastic instead of brass. If that item is out of stock on Amazon, try looking at stores that sell irrigation connectors.
1) Snap Coupling Adapter – This attaches to the faucet, reducing the risk of stripping the threads of both the faucet and hose over time since half of it stays connected to the faucet.
2) Stainless Steel Braided Washing Machine Hose with Elbow – This works for my kitchen faucet that mixes hot and cold water. I don’t think an elbow is necessary, as the version without it is about $2-3 cheaper.
3) Nylon 3/4″ Male Garden Hose (MGH) x 3/4″ Female Pipe Thread (FPT) Adapter – This was the trickiest part for me to find. It attaches to the machine, and I hope its plastic material will cause less wear over time compared to a metal adapter. I plan to keep the inlet hose attached even when not in use. The nylon adapter hasn’t arrived yet, but I’ll update my review with a picture once it does. This part is essential to prevent leaks where the elbow connects to the machine. Until it arrives, I have to turn off the faucet between fills, which is a hassle, as I accidentally forgot once and ended up with water all over the floor.
The washer operates at a similar volume to the Haier, although the water pump for draining is noticeably louder. I’m very pleased with the spin cycle, as it leaves clothes drier than the Haier. I air-dry my laundry indoors using a folding rack from IKEA and a clothesline. In summer, it takes about a day for clothes to dry, while in winter or on rainy days, it can take up to two days.
Update 2/14/21: My parts arrived a few weeks ago. I wrapped 1/2″ wide Teflon tape clockwise around the plastic pipe on top of the machine before attaching the adapter, which completely stopped the leaking. I’ve done around a dozen loads, including full capacity at an 8L water level, and the machine has worked perfectly with zero leaks. I no longer need to turn off the faucet between fills or monitor the machine. This washer has a superior spin cycle compared to my old Haier, leaving clothes drier and reducing their drying time on my drying rack. I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago, and I have been quite pleased with it. I’ve managed to wash over 10 loads (I was definitely behind on laundry, haha).
Regarding capacity, I’ve found it to be quite impressive. I tend to wash bulky items like sweaters and long dresses, and they come out smelling fresh with stains removed. There’s ample space; I don’t cram my laundry in, yet I can easily fit a few days’ worth of outfits along with a towel. I even washed a sheet, and I believe I could fit all my queen-sized linens in one load (excluding the comforter).
The washer generally takes longer than the time displayed on the screen, but it still completes loads fairly quickly. There’s a “fast” setting advertised to wash clothes in 23 minutes, but it actually takes around 30 minutes, which is still speedy!
It does shake a little, but it usually stabilizes itself well. I’ve paused it a few times to redistribute the clothes, as suggested in the manual, but it often doesn’t require it.
In terms of noise, it’s relatively quiet—not silent, but not overly loud either. Sometimes I even forget it’s running when I’m in another room.
The spin cycle is effective, thoroughly wringing out the clothes before I hang them up, and I haven’t experienced any dripping after removing them from the wash.
To be transparent, I’ve only used the “normal, fast, blanket, spin, and air dry” settings, and I have no complaints about any of them.

The 10 pre-programmed settings and 7 different water levels (ranging from 1 to 7 liters) accommodate various laundry loads perfectly. The snap-on faucet attachment is similar to a portable dishwasher, and it comes with an adapter, so you might not need to buy one separately.
The drain hose is quite long, easily reaching across my bathroom to the tub, although the input water line is a bit short—this hasn’t been a major issue. There are no leaks or vibrations, thanks to the rubber feet, and the noise level is pleasantly low. Plus, the built-in lint trap on the washing tub wall makes cleaning a breeze.

This machine is amazing! It’s incredibly user-friendly and operates very quietly. The capacity is impressive—right now, I’m washing bed linens and managed to fit everything except the comforter in one load, along with a few hand towels, all using water level 6 (the machine can go up to level 8).
If I had one caution for those off the grid who are drawn to this machine for its size and energy efficiency, it’s the water usage. Each full load on a normal cycle (wash and rinse) consumes about 100 liters, which feels quite high compared to standard full-size models.
I plan to experiment with the different settings to understand their water consumption and cleaning effectiveness better. Despite this concern, I really love this machine for its ease of use, size, weight, cleaning power, portability, and quiet operation.
