These come with a US-style wall charger but are compatible with any USB charger. This allows me to maintain my Kasa setup in one house and Tapo in the other. It simplifies identification, even though the Tapo app can differentiate them.

The day and night vision on this camera is impressively clear. It effectively detects movement and tracks it well, adjusting its direction based on both motion and sound. I did encounter some difficulty connecting the camera to Wi-Fi, which required me to restart the router by removing the power cord rather than just unplugging it. Despite following all the online troubleshooting steps with no success, I almost decided to return the camera. Fortunately, I discovered their 24/7 support and was able to chat with a live representative instead of an AI bot. Bryant Chacon, the representative I spoke with, was exceptionally knowledgeable and patient. He guided me through the process and helped me connect the camera relatively quickly. One suggestion I have is to allow users to customize the notification sound for the app. The current sound is similar to my message alerts, so having a programmable option would make it more distinctive and noticeable.

Updated Review:
After inserting an SD card, everything changed for the better. I can now access the clips recorded directly on the SD card through the Kasa app without needing to remove it. Just remember to enable 24-hour recording for this feature to work. Although the camera doesn’t send a snapshot of the triggered events, there is a screen grab function available while watching a clip, making it quite useful now. Plus, you don’t need a Kasa Care subscription to utilize these features. I apologize for my earlier incorrect review; this was not mentioned in the documentation. However, I would still like to see a Windows PC version of the app, as it currently only supports Apple iOS and Android.
Further Update: The picture quality is impressive, and live streaming works well. However, I still don’t receive any images of the events that triggered the camera. By the time I get a notification on my phone, the person or object that activated it is usually long gone, leaving me without proof of the incident.
Correction: To access recorded videos, an SD card (not included) is required. However, to view those videos, you still have to remove the card and check it on another device.
Final Note: This only works with 24-hour surveillance enabled in the app. You can also opt for Kasa Care, their cloud service, which costs $3 per month. I’m puzzled as to why the camera doesn’t send a snapshot of what triggered it. Despite being inexpensive and offering excellent video quality, this is a significant drawback. A software update could easily resolve this issue.
Having three Kasa remote on/off light units, I decided to add a Kasa camera and chose the higher resolution model labeled QHD, which was worth the extra $10. The Kasa app is functional, but there’s no PC version for Windows or Mac, so I’m limited to using it on Android and Apple devices. I plan to get a micro SD card, with a maximum storage limit of 256GB. I appreciate that you can turn off the indicator light, but keep in mind that if tracking is on, the lens movement and associated noise are quite noticeable.
Very disappointed in this product –
I am really satisfied with this brand.

This camera is both adorable and highly functional. The app is user-friendly, the setup was quick and easy, and the video quality exceeded my expectations, particularly in night mode. One standout feature is the motion detection; it alerts me whenever it spots someone, and the camera smoothly tracks the subject. I was initially concerned that I’d need a subscription to view my apartment live, but I discovered that it’s entirely optional; a subscription is only required for cloud storage of videos. An SD card works perfectly fine otherwise. I’m really pleased with this purchase!

I ordered a camera in June, and it partially stopped working in August. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to reach out to you until now. Is there any way to avoid feeling scammed by the company? I searched through the app and found no option to return or request a refund since it exceeds the 30-day limit. However, this is a camera that hasn’t been exposed to anything that could cause damage. How could it just stop working after only two months? I would appreciate it if you could let me know how I can contact the appropriate department. Thank you!

My husband and I adopted two kittens nearly three weeks ago, and they’ve been staying in their own room overnight and for long stretches during the day. We casually mentioned how nice it would be to have a camera to check in on them, but one night, I heard them playing quite roughly. I wanted to see what was happening without entering the room (the little boy kitten is very vocal, and going in would lead to at least 30 minutes of meowing to be let out), so I impulsively ordered this camera.
It arrived quickly, and the setup was incredibly simple. I’m amazed by the quality and features! Both my husband and I have the app on our phones, allowing us to monitor them throughout the day. This helps us prepare for any messes they might make. The night vision is fantastic; I was really impressed with how clearly we can see them at night. Initially, I thought about turning off the motion detection notifications, but I’ve found them quite useful; the timestamps let me know if they’ve been active for a while.
We’ve since ordered two more cameras to place in other areas of the house, making it easier to keep an eye on our kitties without constantly getting up.

Initially, I had my doubts given the price, but it’s definitely worth it. It functions perfectly whether I’m at home or at work. Setup was straightforward, and the picture quality is impressive. I plan to purchase more.
