I recently got this new model to replace my broken Vivosmart 4 watch band. Initially, I was hesitant to switch back to a watch after using bands for so long, but this one is incredibly lightweight and comfortable enough to wear anywhere, even in the water. The battery life is impressive, lasting several days. With the Connect IQ app, I can customize the watch, including adding new features and watch faces. It’s interesting that I can create a custom watch face using both the IQ app and the watch itself, although the options differ and the results can vary.

Cons:
Overall, I’m quite pleased with this watch so far.

I was surprised by how much value I got for such a low price. I purchased this watch at 40% off for Christmas, and having never owned a smartwatch before, I can’t imagine living without it now, a year later. The health tracking features are fantastic. After a year of use, the battery life is still impressive, lasting around 10-12 days, which is much better than many other watches. The music feature is an added bonus—everything about this watch is outstanding. I highly recommend getting one, whether it’s on sale or not. The square design looks great, and the images on the Garmin website are to scale if you want to see how it will fit.

I’ve been using Fitbit for years, but my Versa 2 stopped syncing. I gave a few budget watches a try, but they didn’t meet my expectations. The Garmin, however, is outstanding and far superior to Fitbit. It has an impressive battery life and charges quickly. It offers a wide variety of apps and watch faces. I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase!

I purchased this watch for myself more than a year ago, and I wear it daily. It’s impressively affordable for all its features, and you can often find it on sale for around $150. The watch is compact, accurately tracks heart rate, and is excellent for running, swimming, and biking thanks to its GPS and waterproof design. It’s such a fantastic watch that after a year, I decided to get one for my fiancé too!

This watch is fantastic with impressive battery life. The data it captures aligns perfectly with my LifeFitness equipment, unlike my previous Fitbit, which was often inaccurate. This watch consistently delivers precise readings. The display is easy to read, and there are numerous customizable watch faces available, allowing you to switch them on the go. The amount of data at your fingertips seems limitless.
Initially, the Garmin Connect App had some syncing issues, but after updating the watch to the latest firmware, everything has been running smoothly. The data presentation is clear and user-friendly, offering plenty of insights if you’re interested.
The Garmin Connect IQ app enables you to download custom watch faces, giving you the flexibility to choose the information displayed, such as heart rate, calories burned, distance, weather, battery life, and steps, among others.
This watch is incredibly versatile and the most accurate I’ve owned so far, boasting a battery life of over 11 days, even with regular use. I would definitely purchase this again.

I spent a lot of time researching to find a smartwatch with excellent battery life and the ability to continuously display my blood sugar with regular updates. I had another watch on order but canceled it when I found this one.
The watch face I use is a Connect IQ store download from bruder_jakob (rated 4.7), which requires some adjustments to get it just right. Here are a few tips: first, make sure to switch from Libre to Dexcom at the top. When adjusting settings, avoid adding any values to the second bottom set of GRAPH values. Only add values to the TOP default graph; otherwise, you’ll end up with two graphs and limited space for anything else. This watch face is designed for a round watch, so set the time to 24-hour format to avoid awkward time displays. Don’t input values in the Bottom Left or Bottom Right; only use the Very Bottom value for the CGM reading. The refresh rate of this watch face can be a bit slow at times, but if it seems lagging, just tap the top right, select the DexcomWidget, and refer to the right-hand screen.
The DexcomWidget is a standard Dexcom Garmin download (rated 2), but it works perfectly for me. I believe those experiencing issues likely have phone settings problems rather than issues with the watch app. I recommend restarting both your phone and the watch after finalizing your settings. This may sound odd, but I delete the ConnectIQ store after I’m done with the watch face settings, as it seems to interfere with updates from my phone. This might not be the case for everyone, but it’s true for my Google Pixel 4a 5G.
I hope you manage to get your CGM setup sorted; it’s absolutely worth it. Especially at night, when you don’t want to pick up your phone and light up the whole room just to check your blood sugar. I hope this review helps some of you.
One downside: the sleep tracker is disappointingly slow to display in the morning. My 4-year-old $40 TJINGCHONGCHA watch performs much better. The freeware VeryFitPro app that came with that cheap watch outshines the Garmin Connect IQ app in many ways. Garmin, your Connect IQ app needs improvement.

This is an outstanding product! I truly appreciate every aspect of it. After thoroughly comparing it with other popular watches available, I found Garmin to be the best for tracking steps and more. The battery life is impressive, it charges quickly, and the display is stunning. It feels almost weightless on my wrist. I also love the customization options and the ability to download my favorite Spotify music.
