I was initially hesitant, but I’m really impressed with this product – it deserves 4.5 stars. While it may not be the most powerful option available, it effectively cleans up all the mess (dirt, hair, food, bird feathers, etc.) from our floors, whether it’s the living room carpet, dining room rug, or kitchen hard floors, and does so in no time. I thought the swivel feature was just a gimmick, but it actually makes maneuvering much easier. The images demonstrate what it picks up, and emptying it is a breeze with just a push of a button. I previously had a Hoover with stronger suction but no swivel and it was much heavier, plus the handle design was poor (it broke). I also tried an LG, which was even heavier than the Hoover. This Bissell is more user-friendly and easier to maneuver on both floors and stairs, does a great job, and is significantly more affordable. I highly recommend getting one; it really works!

However, when I tested the vacuum on a low pile rug, the motor burned out within 20 seconds, and flames erupted, causing the plastic to melt.
