Setting up the camera was a breeze, installation was straightforward, and the cord hider adheres well to the wall. The camera quality is outstanding. Unlike the Owlet, which has a sensor on your baby’s foot, the Nanit uses a simple breathing pattern monitor that can be applied via a band, sleepsack, or even pajamas—how cool is that?
We moved our baby to her room on the first night with the Nanit and a sleepsack. She stayed cozy all night, and the camera accurately alerted us to her crying, sounds, and movements. The breathing monitoring worked flawlessly without any glitches or false alarms!
I absolutely love the app’s background listening feature, allowing me to close the app while still monitoring my baby. I lock my phone at night, but I can still hear the monitor, and I’ve woken up every time my baby made a sound thanks to this feature.
