User Experiences and Reviews
Build Quality and Design

Users consistently praise the build quality of both the Original Peloton Bike and the Bike+. At 135 pounds, the bikes are heavy and sturdy, providing a stable platform for intense workouts. The alloy steel frame and rubber/stainless steel handle materials contribute to durability, making it a long-term investment for any fitness enthusiast. However, the weight of the bikes can pose challenges during delivery and setup, with some users recommending assistance during assembly.

I expected a quality product, proper assembly, and excellent customer service from Peloton and Amazon, but instead, I’m left with a brand new bike that’s unusable due to incorrect assembly. The handlebars were wobbly, and unfortunately, I reached out to Amazon just a few days past the 30-day return window, though well within the warranty. I hesitated to act sooner, assuming it was assembled correctly.
When I contacted Amazon, they directed me to Peloton for assistance. Initially, Peloton claimed they couldn’t help and no longer sent technicians for in-home service; instead, they offered to send parts for me to fix it myself. Yes, I was expected to fix a brand new bike! To add to the frustration, the delivery team rolled the bike over gravel, scuffing the wheels, which Peloton and Amazon deemed a cosmetic issue—not eligible for replacement. Do you see the pattern here?
Eventually, after I provided photos of the bike and the assembly manual showing the errors, Peloton agreed to send a technician to properly assemble the bike. This was after they initially stated they wouldn’t do that. I demonstrated that all the washers were missing and that a long screw had been incorrectly swapped for a short one, causing it to protrude where it shouldn’t. No wonder it was wobbly!
The repair appointment was set for this morning, but the technicians never arrived. When I called Peloton to inquire about their absence, they promised to expedite the issue and get back to me. Seven hours later, I still haven’t received any call or email.
This experience has been extremely disappointing. I sincerely hope other buyers aren’t facing the same treatment with defective or poorly assembled bikes. I was so excited to finally get one, and now it’s just adding more stress.

I recently purchased the Bike Plus and, although I didn’t initially plan to write a review, I feel compelled to share my experience after just three days of use. This bike is truly impressive. It’s incredibly well-constructed, heavy, and stable. The screen is large and highly responsive, while the sound system is loud enough for an immersive experience. I managed to assemble it on my own, but I recommend having a second person help due to its weight.
The key feature of the Bike Plus is the Peloton subscription, which is definitely worth the $45 monthly fee. It offers a vast library of workout videos led by various instructors who make you feel at ease while encouraging you to reach your fitness goals. One of the standout features is the ability to rotate the screen or cast workouts to your TV, allowing you to step off the bike and engage in other exercises.
I’m not a fan of gyms, and with Peloton, I feel like I have a gym experience right at home. While the upfront cost might seem high, it’s actually more economical than attending spin classes over time. I also recommend investing in the cycling shoes; they enhance the feeling of security while riding. Overall, I highly recommend this bike. It not only provides a stable and reliable workout experience, but the subscription also offers great motivation. Peloton isn’t just a commitment; it’s a pathway to a healthier lifestyle, and it’s up to you to embrace it.

This exercise bike is incredibly sturdy and well-designed. The magnetic resistance is unmatched compared to other bikes I’ve tried; it offers a smooth experience even at high levels and closely resembles the feeling of riding a real bike. However, be prepared for its weight—it’s quite heavy, so having at least two strong individuals to help move it, especially if there are stairs, is essential.
I’ve encountered a couple of issues so far: the user interface on both the touchscreen and their website could use improvement as it can be frustrating to navigate. My biggest concern is that the bike’s pedals require specific cycling shoes with cleats, making the bike unusable until you purchase them separately. After spending a significant amount on the bike, I ended up paying $209 for the shoes after taxes ($185 before), and I have to wait about three weeks for them to arrive. I also subscribed to their workout program at $55 per month, but since the shoes won’t arrive in time, I won’t be able to use the bike for most of the first month. If you find the shoes on Amazon in your size, you might get them quicker, but I had to order mine directly from Peloton. My advice: order the shoes right away and wait for them to arrive before signing up for the subscription.
Additionally, shortly after purchasing my Peloton bike, I came across allegations claiming that Peloton tried to pressure podcaster Theo Von into not having a guest on his show by threatening to pull their sponsorship. I strongly oppose such practices, and if these allegations are proven true, I may reconsider my subscription and sell the bike (returning something this heavy would be nearly impossible). If this is an issue for you, please keep it in mind before making a decision.

Living in a remote area, I was thrilled when Amazon began delivering Peloton bikes to my location, especially since the nearest store is a six-hour drive away. I finally decided to make the purchase, and I’m so glad I did! The delivery went smoothly, and I even received a $175 refund from Amazon, which was a nice surprise.
The box was quite heavy, so I had to unpack it in the kitchen to get it upstairs. However, assembling the bike was a breeze! It’s sturdy even on high carpet, and the screen is fantastic. I considered getting a knock-off version, but I’m really happy I chose the real deal! The classes are enjoyable, and the bike operates quietly with easy adjustments to suit my preferences.
I’m very satisfied with my purchase and plan to keep riding. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll upgrade to a Peloton+.

I had been contemplating purchasing a Peloton for quite some time, primarily due to the price tag. However, when Prime Day rolled around, I managed to snag a $500 discount on this bike, which I jumped on right away. In fact, refurbished bikes on their website cost more than what I paid.
I was initially a bit worried since Amazon was handling the delivery instead of Peloton, who typically takes care of the setup. But the bike arrived on time, and the box was in perfect condition, which was a relief.
Inside the box, everything was neatly organized. I found all the parts intact, with nothing broken or missing. The setup took me about two hours. The package included a home assembly kit complete with tools and all the necessary screws (plus a bag of extras!).
The assembly process was straightforward, although it did require some time. The bike’s build quality feels exceptionally sturdy. It’s also quite compact, which is perfect since my apartment doesn’t have much space, and the Peloton fits nicely.
Overall, I consider this a fantastic purchase! However, I’m not sure I would pay the original price of $1845 CAD. If you’re not in a hurry for a Peloton, I highly recommend waiting for another Amazon Prime Day, as the deals are simply too good to miss!

The Peloton is absolutely worth it, especially at the Black Friday price of $1370 plus tax. It’s perfect for beginners like me who need a bit of guidance, and it really keeps you motivated while having fun. It’s challenging, so don’t expect it to be a walk in the park, but the feeling you get after completing a class is fantastic! Just remember there’s a monthly subscription fee of $55 to access the classes, but trust me, it’s worth it! Also, keep in mind that Amazon does not provide assembly, so make sure you have a strong friend to help you out. It’s quite heavy, but assembling it is really straightforward.

I’m very pleased with my purchase and the delivery process at this price point. Assembly was a breeze, and the delivery was smooth and convenient. Initially, I wasn’t certain how much I would use it, but it has become a fantastic part of my fitness routine. I replaced my spin bike and was unsure if all the extra features were necessary, but the classes are fantastic, and tracking my workout metrics has been incredibly motivating. I highly recommend this as a worthwhile investment in your health.

I absolutely love my Peloton! Here’s why I choose it over a regular exercise bike:
The build quality is impressive—I’m a big guy at 6’4” and 270lbs, and it feels sturdy. The classes and instructors are fantastic; they’re engaging, have great playlists, and offer a wide range of workouts.
I thrive on competition, and the real-time interaction with others in classes keeps me motivated and makes the time fly by. Plus, the screen and functionality are top-notch, making it easy for the entire family to use. It’s a breeze to fit in my daily cardio!

Last year, I purchased a budget knockoff that functioned similarly, but it was extremely frustrating to use with the Peloton app on my iPad and the bike app on my phone for tracking cadence and resistance. It also didn’t come with clip-in pedals, leading me to use it very little due to the hassle.
However, since getting this bike, I’ve worked out for 31 consecutive days, which is a record for me! The extra investment for the auto-resistance feature has been totally worth it, as it allows me to concentrate fully on my workout. The seamless syncing with my Apple Watch is an added bonus.
The only downside is that within a week, the bike started to get noisy, and it eventually became quite loud when pedaling. I reached out to customer service after some online research and was able to speak to someone right away on a Sunday. I described the issue, and he suggested I try a troubleshooting video, which wasn’t my first choice. A few hours later, I received an email asking for a video of the noise, which I sent. Shortly after, I was informed that they diagnosed the issue as a broken lower bracket that needed a replacement part and a service technician visit. There was a hiccup with my warranty since my bike wasn’t registered in the Peloton system due to my Amazon purchase, but after a quick call to explain, they sorted it out and scheduled a technician to come. The appointment was a few weeks away, but luckily, I could continue using the bike while waiting. The repair technician was polite, punctual, and very knowledgeable.
