I was in search of a smartwatch to upgrade from a budget watch I bought at a wholesale club. As a Galaxy S## phone user, this watch turned out to be an ideal match. I particularly appreciate the sleep monitoring feature and the Samsung app that tracks my sleep quality. The customizable watch faces are a plus as well; I chose a clear, easy-to-read design that allows me to forgo my reading glasses. Overall, all the features are impressive, especially for the price.

Initially, I had my doubts about the discounted price, but I’m really pleased I decided to buy this watch. It offers a plethora of features and has proven to be dependable. While I wish the battery life was a bit longer—especially since I wanted an always-on display—it still lasts throughout the day. It covers the essentials I need: call alerts, text notifications, and app updates. The watch is visually stunning and fits perfectly; the strap is particularly impressive as it conforms to my wrist without leaving noticeable marks.

Product arrived ahead of schedule and in great condition. Thank you!

I really love the watch—the large face and classic design are great, and it offers a lot of features. However, the battery life is a significant drawback; it hardly lasts 24 hours before needing a recharge, which undermines my reason for buying it. I intended to use it for the sleep program, step tracking, and heart monitoring, but recharging it at night interferes with the sleep tracking. Additionally, some features aren’t compatible with my Note10.

I bought this watch primarily for its fall detection capability. It has only misfired a few times, and now that I use it on the “with activity” setting, I haven’t encountered any issues. It fits perfectly, is well-made, durable, and works seamlessly with my Android Moto phone. I receive notifications without any problems, it resembles most watches, and features a brightness adjustment.

The watch arrived in perfect condition. It’s not an American version, but it’s sealed and functioning flawlessly.

I want to clarify that while I am a VINE VOICE reviewer, I purchased this watch with my own money, and the following comments reflect my honest and independent opinion.

I bought this watch brand new about seven weeks ago. It’s the standard 44mm Bluetooth model (not the Classic or LTE). This watch combines the best features from Samsung and Google. While the features are excellent, it’s important to note that to maximize their potential, you need a compatible Samsung Android phone. I use it with my Samsung Galaxy S10+.

Over the years, I’ve tried four smartwatches priced between $300 and $400 from various brands, but none have performed as well as this one (excluding battery life). I also previously owned the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5. The Galaxy Watch 6’s counters are accurate when compared with other calibrated devices and are user-friendly. For instance, I walk a lot, both indoors and outdoors. The outdoor distance tracker and GPS have been precise. When walking indoors on a measured one-mile track, the watch’s distance tracking is typically within a couple of percent, which is far superior to competitors I’ve tried. In cycling, the Galaxy Watch 6 effectively measures distance, speed, heart rate, and more. The Samsung Health app integrates well with the Watch 6.

The user interface closely resembles that of the latest Samsung Galaxy watch series, and there is a wide variety of interchangeable apps available for this watch.

I upgraded from my Galaxy Watch 5 mainly due to the improved hardware in the Watch 6. I also valued the ability for the watch to seamlessly connect to a new Samsung phone when I eventually upgrade, a feature not available in earlier models that required reconfiguration when changing phones.

Regarding issues with the watch, as others have mentioned, the battery life could be better, but I get over two days on a full charge, which is acceptable for me. Initially, it took 2 to 3 hours to recharge, which felt excessive. The Samsung Members app can help troubleshoot the device, and Samsung can remotely access the watch via the phone for further assistance—though you’ll need a Samsung phone for this support. After some troubleshooting over the phone and sending the watch back under warranty, Samsung discovered a faulty charging cable was causing the long recharge times. They replaced the cable under warranty (despite a 4-week backorder), and now it takes about an hour to charge the watch from 20% to 100%, which is the expected time.

Overall, I’m pleased with this watch, its design, and its capabilities. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a new smartwatch.

I really wanted to love this watch because the 40 mm size was perfect and I appreciated its features. My main goal was to use it as a standalone cycling fitness tracker that could sync with the Strava app. I needed it to accurately record my miles using GPS and allow me to leave my phone at home while still being able to make emergency calls. Initially, everything worked well, though I noticed that the GPS mileage was consistently about a tenth of a mile off for every ten miles compared to my phone. The GPS map showed that my phone had a more accurate tracking with less signal variability.

I could tolerate the GPS discrepancy over long rides—missing a mile over a 100-mile trip wasn’t a huge deal. The battery life also impressed me; I was getting around 7 hours or more while using cellular data and GPS, and I often didn’t wear the watch for the rest of the day.

However, the lack of support for an external heart rate monitor was a dealbreaker for me. I had heard mixed reviews about Samsung’s heart rate tracking and had hoped to use my external Polar heart rate monitor, but I couldn’t get my Motorola phone to recognize it via Bluetooth. I found that some users had success with Samsung phones, but that didn’t help me. Since I rely on an external heart rate sensor, this was a significant drawback, especially knowing that devices like the Google Pixel Watch and Apple Watches support this feature.

If you’re not particular about heart rate accuracy and can make do with the built-in monitoring, this watch is a solid option and likely the best Android-based choice out there. I really didn’t want to switch to the Apple ecosystem just for a smartwatch.

We have had this watch model since version 4 and we have no complaints. It includes all the features typical of a smartwatch.

Upgrading from my previous Watch 4 Classic 42mm, this is truly a masterpiece!
