Despite its small size, it works very well for office and home tasks.

WARNING! Good mini PC with decent performance, BUT:

    • The power supply comes with a plug for USA outlets (I had an adapter, so it wasn’t a big issue. You don’t need a voltage conversion adapter since the power supply can handle 110-240V, and these basic adapters are quite affordable.)
    • One of the USB 3.x ports is dead and non-functional.
    • The N95 Intel CPU is actually an unreleased test version (Engineering Sample CPU), which still belongs to Intel and is only loaned to computer companies. This processor version may have defects.
(By the way, I specifically ordered this mini PC with the older Intel N5105, as it supports dual RAM channels – however, I received the model with the N95, which is an upgrade in terms of overall performance but only supports a single RAM channel, potentially leading to graphics bottlenecks.)

I’ve been using my new KAMRUI GK3 PLUS for a few days now, and it’s been an incredibly pleasant surprise, especially coming from an older Windows setup and desktop. It’s like a breath of fresh air! Its size is similar to a double-decker grilled cheese sandwich, but the performance is impressive. The speed is not overwhelming but very manageable. I haven’t conducted professional performance tests, just my own comparisons to the computers I’ve owned over the years. This KAMRUI is the fastest Windows machine I’ve personally owned. While I haven’t had the most expensive gaming rigs or high-end video editing systems, I’ve always used low to mid-range consumer computers, and this one surpasses all of them.

Technology advances quickly, and this mini computer exemplifies that. Setup was straightforward, though the initial updates took about 45 minutes, which I did with just a keyboard connected. Since then, it has requested a few updates, which went smoothly. So far, I’ve experienced no freezes—just a reliable, smooth-running computer. I frequently watch YouTube videos, and they stream crystal clear without buffering or distortion. I also handle desktop publishing and other office tasks effortlessly.

If the saying “You get what you pay for” holds true, it’s especially applicable here with this KAMRUI mini computer. At $149-$169, I can’t see how anyone could go wrong for typical home use. All peripherals function perfectly, including a standalone DVD/RW drive, keyboard, mouse, monitor, external hard drive, and printer—all work flawlessly. I’m genuinely impressed by the performance of KAMRUI’s compact package. Of course, it won’t match the performance of an Intel i9, but that’s not its intention.

I give it five stars because it truly meets the expectations set in the Amazon description. I hope that anyone who reads this and decides to buy one finds the same satisfaction I have. I opted for this mini instead of returning to a bulky tower setup, and I’m very pleased so far. As for longevity, only time will tell, as with all electronics.

Setting it up was a breeze, and it hasn’t crashed at all since I received it. It automatically updates and has ample space for data and applications. The storage is fantastic, and it connects effortlessly to my webcam and speakers!

This computer is impressively compact and takes up minimal space. The wiring can be easily tucked away, keeping my desk tidy. Setting it up was a breeze; it only took about 5 minutes to update before it was ready to use. It has built-in wireless networking, so there’s no need to connect it directly to the modem. My nephew has been using it as a gaming rig, and while I’m not familiar with all the technical details, it seems to run his games without any issues. He hasn’t complained about it at all. There’s hardly any fan noise, it doesn’t get too hot, and the performance is solid. I’m giving it a 5-star rating and will update if needed.

This 12th-gen mini PC is highly capable for office tasks and performs exceptionally well as a homelab server. Although its price is comparable to the latest Raspberry Pi, it boasts superior CPUs, increased memory and storage, and importantly, it operates quietly and is energy-efficient. Installing Linux is a breeze, allowing you to run all your services on this compact device. Plus, with its UHD 16 iGPU, it supports hardware acceleration for transcoding in Jellyfin.

This computer is a compact yet powerful option that’s nearly ready to use right out of the box. You’ll just need to complete the Windows installation process by answering a few questions regarding your keyboard, time zone, location, and user login. If you prefer not to enter a password each time you power it on, simply leave the password field blank after entering your username. You can always set a password later, but it seems you can’t remove the password requirement if you fill it in during the initial setup.

It’s quiet and small enough to fit discreetly behind your monitor using the included VESA mounting bracket. Just keep in mind that like all computers, it will generate some heat, so ensure it has adequate airflow around it for optimal cooling.

Windows 11 comes pre-installed, which will meet the needs of most users. I intended to use it as a media server in my RV, so I opted to install Linux for its greater flexibility and faster boot times. On my first attempt, I adjusted the “Display Delay” setting in the BIOS, which unfortunately rendered the display unusable on both HDMI and VGA. However, customer service was excellent, and Kin, the representative, promptly replaced the unit under warranty. I later learned that it would have been possible to reset the BIOS to defaults, but doing so without a display would have required opening the case to access the CMOS battery located beneath the motherboard—a task not suitable for the average user.

The pictures show the installation of Linux Mint 21.1 64 Bit. I set it up as a dual boot to maintain access to Windows 11 if needed. This process does require some familiarity with installing operating systems and navigating BIOS settings, so I would not recommend it for beginners.

To install Linux, you’ll need a bootable USB drive. Plug in the thumb drive, start the computer, and repeatedly press the DEL key to access the BIOS settings. Leave most settings as they are, except for the following: go to the SECURITY tab, select SECURE BOOT, and disable it. Then navigate to the BOOT menu where the computer should recognize the thumb drive, allowing you to set it as the first boot option. Make sure the thumb drive is connected, as the option will not explicitly say USB but will display the drive’s manufacturer. Save and exit by pressing F4, then restart the computer, which should boot from the Linux USB. Follow the prompts as it boots. You’ll have the option to try the OS without installing it; if you choose to install, the installer will provide an option for dual booting alongside Windows or erasing the drive for a clean Linux installation. If you opt for dual boot, it will partition the SSD to accommodate both operating systems. Once the installation is complete, the computer will reboot, presenting you with the choice of Windows 11 or Linux during startup. You can select which one to use with the arrow keys and press enter.

I purchased this mini PC for various tasks, and it handles Serato Lite flawlessly (without stems). It’s running a Plex media server exceptionally well. The boot-up is fast, and it’s very responsive. I’m really enjoying it!

    Summary:
I recommend this for everyday use at the office, school, browsing, watching videos, listening to music, and some light gaming, particularly emulation of older console games. If you’re looking to play more recent titles, edit videos, stream, or need a powerful machine for demanding tasks, consider other options—there are plenty out there. I personally use a Beelink, which I mention below.

    Detailed Review:
I got this for my sister; I chose it for its functionality while she liked its design. However, when it arrived, it was a different color than expected. It has only one RAM slot, which is occupied by 16GB (at least that’s a positive). There might be a similar model with two slots, but I couldn’t find reliable information on that, and it seems like the RAM is soldered to the motherboard, meaning it can’t be expanded or repaired if it fails.

Accessing the storage is a bit tricky; you have to remove several screws from both sides. Fortunately, nothing feels fragile or easily breakable, but caution is definitely required. That said, the plastic casing feels cheap. I previously purchased a Beelink mini PC, and this one is clearly of a lower tier in terms of build quality.

Although videos and reviews show it has an m.2 storage slot in the 2230 size, to my pleasant surprise, it actually supports 2280, which is more common now. There might have been revisions, but as I mentioned, I can’t find reliable and up-to-date information on these models.

After starting it up (with Windows 11), I powered it down and removed the pre-installed drive. I installed a drive from another computer (running Windows 10), and initially, it crashed with errors. However, after performing a system repair, I was able to migrate my system and files. Of course, I had to update it to recognize the devices and re-enter internet passwords. In my case, the system recognized that the transferred drive had the option to enable BitLocker for enhanced data encryption via password or a USB key, but since we didn’t use that option, it shows a warning in the properties of the PC. This can be ignored as it doesn’t affect performance.

It’s good, but there’s an issue with the Wi-Fi disconnecting. Additionally, it tends to overheat. It’s advisable to use a cooling fan underneath.

Excellent product, easy to set up and install, highly recommended.
