This isn’t my first Citizen watch, and for the price, it’s truly unbeatable. The time is very easy to read, although the date can be a bit tricky. The Eco-Drive feature is fantastic—no batteries needed! It converts any kind of light into power, so you never have to worry about battery replacement. Plus, you don’t need a mechanical watch box to keep the time running. Just expose it to light, and it stores energy efficiently. Most Citizens have a power meter, but this one doesn’t, which just shows how efficient it is.
The brown band is top-notch, and I also purchased black and grey bands, but I must say, the brown leather makes this watch really stand out! It’s a chronograph that works flawlessly; I’ve tested it on various occasions, including a race in my son’s car—of course, we won, but we also set a new personal record! With just a quick flash of light for about five seconds, the entire watch face and hands light up green, which is a great improvement from the older models that required prolonged exposure to light.
One thing to note is that the case diameter is a bit smaller than I prefer, listed at 43mm but feeling more like 42mm. I’m used to 45mm and larger, which I find looks better on me. Regardless, I’ve been wearing it daily since I bought it and have received more compliments than I expected. It transitions well from business to casual—a difficult feat for many watches, but this Citizen pulls it off effortlessly.
In summary, for the money, you won’t find a better watch. It’s packed with features, easy to read, and not overpowering like some of my other 72 watches. Performance-wise, it delivers everything you need, and the best part? You never have to worry about changing the battery. Plus, it’s water-resistant—I’ve even taken it swimming. So go ahead and buy this watch; you won’t be disappointed, and I certainly wasn’t!

I’ve been using this watch for a few days now, and here are my initial thoughts. The craftsmanship is stunning, and it has kept time perfectly as promised. The glow-in-the-dark feature is brief but does provide a nice visual of the face shortly after being exposed to light.
I have two minor concerns:
The wristband initially felt cheap. (Edit: After some wear, it has become more pliable and resembles genuine leather, looking quite good. I switched back to the original strap for a more formal appearance, and it has withstood quite a bit of wear and tear.) I did purchase a different strap, however, because I worried about it breaking during daily use. I plan to save it for special occasions, opting for a silicone strap for everyday wear instead.
The chronograph second hand is nearly impossible to see unless you’re in bright light. If you intend to use the chronograph indoors or in low light, it will be challenging without a flashlight. It could use more contrast.
Overall, it’s a great watch so far.
Edit: After enduring a lot of everyday wear, this watch has held up remarkably well. I’m very pleased with it.
