Design and Build Quality
Compact Size, Ample Capacity
One of the standout features of the TDQR01 is its compact size. Measuring just 16.8 inches in height, it easily fits on countertops without taking up excessive space. Despite its small footprint, it can accommodate up to four full place settings, making it suitable for small families or individuals. The double-layer design ingeniously maximizes space, allowing users to fit plates, cups, and cutlery efficiently.
User-Friendly Features
The TDQR01 is designed with ease of use in mind. It offers two water supply modes: a built-in water tank for immediate use and a faucet mode for those who prefer the traditional connection. The automatic water level indicator is a thoughtful feature that ensures users never overfill the tank. Additionally, the LED touch panel makes it easy to select wash cycles and monitor the status of the dishwasher.
Washing Performance
Variety of Wash Programs
The dishwasher comes with five wash cycles: Normal, Speed, Soft, Baby Care/Heavy, and Fruit. Each program is tailored to specific cleaning needs, ensuring versatility in handling different types of dishes. For instance, the Baby Care mode uses a washing temperature of 167°F, making it effective for cleaning baby bottles and heavily soiled tableware.
Efficient Drying Functionality
A notable aspect of the TDQR01 is its drying capabilities. After the wash cycle, the machine automatically engages in a 60-minute hot air drying process. Furthermore, it features a unique 72-hour ventilation mode, which activates every 75 minutes to ensure dishes remain dry and odor-free. This feature is especially beneficial for users who may not use their dishes immediately after washing.
User Experience and Feedback
Positive Reviews and User Satisfaction
-
Compact and Efficient: Many users have expressed satisfaction with the machine’s compact size and ability to clean a substantial number of dishes in one go. One reviewer noted that it effectively handles daily dishwashing needs without hassle.
-
Easy to Use: The straightforward operation, combined with the built-in water tank, has made it a favorite for individuals who lack direct faucet access. Users appreciate the convenience of filling the tank and having clean dishes quickly.
-
Quality Cleaning: Several reviews highlight that the dishwasher provides excellent cleaning performance, especially with the heavy-duty and normal wash cycles. Most users report that their dishes come out clean, though some noted that very dried-on food may require a pre-soak.
Areas for Improvement
-
Size Limitations: While the compact design is a boon for small spaces, some users felt it might not accommodate larger cookware or multiple serving dishes at once. This limitation may require strategic loading or washing in multiple cycles.
-
Price Considerations: A few customers raised concerns about the price point, suggesting it may be on the higher side for budget-conscious individuals. Nonetheless, many feel the convenience it brings justifies the cost.
Final Thoughts and Overall Rating
The NOVETE TDQR01 Portable Countertop Dishwasher is a reliable and efficient solution for those living in compact spaces. Its combination of user-friendly features, effective cleaning cycles, and thoughtful design makes it a desirable kitchen appliance. While it may not replace a full-sized dishwasher for larger households, it perfectly meets the needs of small families or individuals.
Overall Rating: 4.2/5
This rating reflects the product’s excellent cleaning capabilities and compact design, while also acknowledging the limitations in size and potential price concerns. The NOVETE TDQR01 is indeed a worthy investment for those in need of a functional and compact dishwashing solution.

After two years of full-time RV living, I grew really tired of washing dishes by hand. I didn’t miss our old house, but I certainly missed having a dishwasher. A few months ago, my husband and I decided to purchase this compact dishwasher, and it has quickly become my favorite accessory for our RV—especially considering how limited our counter space is. You really can’t keep something that size around unless it’s useful.
Despite its small size, this little dishwasher surprisingly holds a lot of dishes. We manage to wash all our silverware, cooking utensils, mugs, tea strainers, bowls, plates, and sometimes even pan lids—typically in two loads a day, after breakfast and dinner. I even discovered that a small cutting board fits in there perfectly.
Thanks to it, we only need to handwash pots, pans, large bowls, and bakeware. It’s fantastic! It operates efficiently, is easy to fill with water, and uses regular liquid dish detergent. I also find the sound it makes quite comforting; I suppose it reminds me of growing up with dishwashers.
So far, we haven’t encountered any issues. It’s been a wonderful little appliance!

I don’t usually write product reviews since I order so much and rarely have the time, but this product truly deserves recognition. I was initially hesitant to purchase it due to mixed reviews and its price, but I’m so glad I trusted my instincts. I’ve had it for about a month now and have used it roughly 30 times, and I haven’t been let down yet. It’s compact enough to fit on my counter without taking up too much space (though I might consider getting a rolling cart for it since it is a bit on the larger side), is incredibly user-friendly, and has significantly reduced my anxiety about doing dishes.
Since my faucet can’t connect to it (likely an intentional choice by my landlord, who covers the hot water), the built-in tank is a perfect solution. It offers multiple cycles, accommodates a good number of dishes (I can usually wash 4-5 plates, 3-4 glasses or mugs, a couple of bowls, and plenty of silverware in one go), and cleans everything thoroughly without any issues. It even alerts me when the water tank needs refilling or when I’ve reached its capacity, preventing any overflow.
The only minor drawbacks are that the dishwasher pods don’t quite fit in their designated spot, but it’s no hassle to just toss them in the bottom where they still work effectively. Additionally, my larger plates need to be angled and can only fit a couple at a time. These issues are so minor that they don’t bother me at all.
Overall, this is a fantastic product, and I’ve already recommended it to several friends whose landlords also skimp on providing dishwashers. I’ll update this review if anything changes.
Update 06/11/22: Still going strong! I’ve used it around 70 times since purchasing, and I’m thrilled I made this decision.
Update 09/06/23: It’s still delivering spotless dishes. I’ve used it over 500 times since my initial purchase, and I’ve encountered zero issues. It’s definitely worth the investment.

It’s a bit smaller than I expected, but it performs wonderfully. It accommodates small pots and pans well, though it’s not suitable for larger items since it’s a countertop model. Most dishes come out quite clean, although I’ve had to rewash a couple — likely due to my own mistakes. I would definitely buy this again, 10/10!

An excellent solution for areas where there was no space for a built-in dishwasher. It has a surprisingly small footprint on my countertop. It cleans dishes, including small pots and pans, very well. The rack is less versatile than I anticipated, but I can work around it.

I’ve had this dishwasher for three months, starting to use it the day after it arrived. I can confidently say it washes dishes exceptionally well. It fits perfectly under my counter, and I find it easy to pull out for refilling the water tank. I opted for the tank option due to concerns about potential leaks from an unfamiliar appliance, especially since my sink doesn’t have adapter connections. It comes with a water pitcher, and it takes three full pours to fill the tank until it jingles, indicating it’s full.
So far, I’ve mainly used the heavy-duty and normal modes along with the drying feature, and it has kept my dishes impressively clean. The only downside is that if I wait too long between loads, some food residues can become stubborn and may require soaking or hand washing. This happened because I didn’t have enough dishes for a full load and forgot to run it regularly, which allowed food to stick more than it normally would.
I always use the drying feature since I like to set it and forget it while going about my day or before bed. A few times, I’ve tried to remove dishes before the drying cycle finished, and the plates were still quite hot, so that’s something to consider. However, I prefer the assurance of clean, well-dried dishes over the inconvenience of hand drying.
One minor issue is that some of my mugs can retain water at the bottom when loaded upside down, which prolongs drying. If you can tilt the mugs slightly, that helps, but if not, it might be best to unload them last and dry them manually.
Overall, as someone who needs assistive tools for home management, I can’t imagine going back to washing dishes by hand. I now actively avoid cookware that isn’t labeled as dishwasher safe.
When choosing a countertop dishwasher, regardless of brand or model, make sure to measure your counter space and account for clearance above it. If you can’t connect to the sink adapter or are unsure, consider how much room you’ll need to refill the water tank and whether you’ll need to pull the dishwasher in and out from under the counter to do so.
TLDR: I’ve had a great experience with this model and brand, but I recommend a countertop dishwasher for a significant quality-of-life improvement, regardless of brand or model, as long as it functions well.

This dishwasher features a unique design that stands out from traditional models. Its taller height is different from most brands. While its compact width and lightweight make it attractive for small spaces, I found it too limited for my requirements and felt the price was too high to warrant adjustments.

We used it in an apartment for two people, and it has been very convenient and helpful.
