eufy Robot Vacuum 11S MAX Review: A Smart Cleaning Companion
When it comes to household chores, especially vacuuming, the eufy Robot Vacuum 11S MAX stands out as an impressive addition to any home. This robotic vacuum is designed to simplify your cleaning routine while providing powerful suction and quiet operation. In this review, we will explore its features, performance, pros and cons, and overall value.
Design and Build Quality
Aesthetics and Dimensions
The eufy 11S MAX boasts a sleek design with a super-thin profile of just 2.85 inches in height. This allows it to easily glide under furniture, making it ideal for cleaning hard-to-reach areas such as beneath beds and couches. Its elegant black finish is a nice touch, ensuring it fits seamlessly into any home décor.
Materials and Durability
Constructed with an anti-scratch tempered glass-top cover, this vacuum is not only stylish but also durable. The materials used in its design are robust, ensuring the vacuum can withstand everyday use without showing signs of wear and tear.
Performance
Suction Power and Cleaning Efficiency
Equipped with eufy’s BoostIQ Technology, the 11S MAX intelligently increases its suction power within 1.5 seconds when it detects more dirt or debris. This feature is invaluable when transitioning between hard floors and medium-pile carpets, ensuring an effective clean every time. Users have reported that it performs exceptionally well on both surfaces, providing thorough cleaning without leaving behind any dust or debris.
Battery Life and Charging
The vacuum operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, offering up to 100 minutes of cleaning time on a single charge. Users appreciate the self-charging feature, which allows the robot to return to its docking station when the battery runs low. However, some users have noted that it does require a full recharge before it resumes cleaning, which could be a minor inconvenience for larger spaces.
Noise Level
One of the standout features of the eufy 11S MAX is its remarkably quiet operation. Operating at a noise level comparable to that of a microwave, it allows users to carry on their daily activities without interruption. This is particularly beneficial for households with young children or pets.
Usability
Remote Control and Features
The vacuum comes equipped with a remote control, making it easy to operate from a distance. Though it lacks smart features like app integration or mapping capabilities, the straightforward design allows users to focus on cleaning without the need for complex setup procedures. The included components, such as the cleaning tool and side brush, further enhance its usability.
Maintenance
Maintaining the eufy 11S MAX is relatively simple. The washable filter can be easily cleaned, and the dustbin has a capacity of 600 milliliters, which minimizes the frequency of emptying. However, some users have pointed out that while cleaning the roller and removing hair can be tedious, the provided cleaning tool does help mitigate this issue.

Edited (10/22/19): I wanted to update my experience for those considering this product. After returning a robovac that didn’t function as expected, the company reached out to me, demonstrating their commitment to customer satisfaction. They offered to send me a new robovac of the same model, which I accepted after some correspondence. This company truly exceeded my expectations, similar to how I operate my own business.
While I’m unsure if they sent me a unit with a new battery or if there have been upgrades, I can confidently say that the new one works flawlessly. I’ve been using it for about three weeks, and the only minor issues I’ve encountered are related to two specific areas in my home where it occasionally gets stuck. One issue was easily resolved by rearranging two throw rugs, which prevented it from getting caught on a cabinet toe kick. The other issue occurs under a hide-a-bed when it gets snagged on the loop leg. I plan to place tape around the leg as a buffer to prevent this in the future.
Even though these issues aren’t the unit’s fault, the company provided suggestions that have worked for others, and they even sent me a new brush as a token of appreciation for my feedback, which they value for improving their products. Overall, I’m very pleased with the robovac; it runs efficiently and fulfills its purpose.
Original comments: As a cleaning unit, it performed well for its price. It effectively picked up dust and debris from our carpets and floors during its first 90-minute run. I was surprised by how much it collected in the beginning, which decreased over time. I set it to clean while we were at work, and our home always looked freshly vacuumed upon our return.
A word of caution for potential buyers: you’ll need to clean the brushes daily for the first week, and then every few days thereafter, especially if you have long hair and pets. The catch bin should also be emptied daily, and the filter cleaned regularly for optimal performance. I was aware of these maintenance tasks, so they weren’t a problem for me.
However, I did run into issues when I noticed it only operated for about 15 minutes before returning to its base to recharge. This was unexpected, as it should have run for at least 90 minutes. I thought my cat may have disturbed it, so I fully charged it and let it run again, but it repeated the same short run before returning to the base. This led me to believe the battery might be worn out, which is unacceptable for a new product.
Additionally, the remote only worked when I was in the same room as the unit, which could also be a battery issue since the remote came with batteries included. If it weren’t for the battery problem and the limited remote functionality, I would have been completely satisfied with the product. Overall, it’s a nice cleaning unit, provided it stays charged.

Update, May 15, 2024: The new battery lasted 100 minutes today.
Update, May 8, 2024: After reaching out to the manufacturer about the battery issue, they promptly sent me a replacement under warranty.
The manual leaves much to be desired—it’s filled with tiny illustrations that don’t match the robot and lacks instructions on how to delete settings. However, the robot itself does a decent job of cleaning. It starts in my 1,500 sq. ft. living room and manages to find the bedroom, but once it leaves the bedroom, it doesn’t return to finish cleaning there or in the washroom. To tackle this, I simply place it in the bedroom, close the door, and let it finish its work before moving it back to the living room. It also tends to skip cleaning near the charging station. On the plus side, it’s very quiet and bumps into things gently, allowing for a conversation while it’s running nearby.
Cleaning the waste bin, roller, wheels, and filter is straightforward. I clean and wipe down the machine after each use, which is about twice a month. The vacuum is user-friendly and usually operates for around 1.5 hours before needing a recharge.
At $200 Canadian, it’s a fair value. It avoids the frustrations associated with app-based programming, which I understand is a trend among manufacturers, but it’s not ideal.
TIPS: Tackle one room at a time to minimize the learning curve for the robot. Ensure it has ample time to fully recharge between uses. Remember to CLEAN IT thoroughly after each use—especially the wheels, which pop out easily for cleaning.

I really enjoy the C20; it’s well-constructed and stylish, and the home station is quite functional. However, there are a few areas for improvement. I noticed it waits for a full recharge before resuming, which is acceptable, but it would be more efficient if it could charge to 25% or 50% when there’s only a few meters left, similar to what the Roomba does. The price is significantly lower than the Roomba, and its performance is just as good. Considering the Roomba has nearly a decade of advancement, that’s impressive. Additionally, the C20 has mopping capabilities, which the j7+ lacks, and the j7+ is almost 40% pricier. Overall, it was a great purchase, and I’m really pleased with the range of security and cleaning products from Eufy. Great job!

I upgraded from the Eufy G40+ to the Omni C20 during the Black Friday sale, and it’s been AMAZING. I’ve been wanting an “active” robot mop for ages (the G40+ was just a wet pad like a Swiffer), and this one is perfect:
After a week of heavy use, I’m extremely happy with it—it’s a great value at full price, but at the Black Friday sale, it’s an unbelievable deal!

I’ve had a Eufy slim vacuum for years and it served me well. I decided to upgrade to the C20 vac/mop combo, despite some mixed reviews on combo units. The setup was incredibly simple, and once the floor plan was mapped, the vacuum did an excellent job cleaning wherever I directed it.
The noise level is pleasantly low during operation, only getting a bit louder when it automatically empties its dust canister, but that lasts only a brief moment. When it cleans and dries the mops, it’s quieter than I anticipated.
The mapping feature is fantastic, and the app is very user-friendly and highly customizable. The build quality is exceptional, consistent with my previous experiences with Eufy/Anker products.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this vacuum and mop combo. I have hard surface floors plus a couple of area rugs, and it navigates the high transition from the kitchen to the hallway without any issues. I had tried two other models from a different brand before this, and they struggled with transitions, which is why I returned them and went back to Eufy. I’m loving it so far!

My wife was looking for a solution to make cleaning under the bed easier, so we purchased the 11S Max after seeing all the positive reviews. It has certainly lived up to our expectations.
While it’s quite basic—lacking house mapping, self-emptying capabilities, and an app—it gets the job done effectively. We simply place it in a room, close the door, and let it work its magic. The amount of dirt it collects is impressive!
The random cleaning pattern, rather than a straight-line approach, means it occasionally revisits areas from different angles, which seems to enhance the cleaning efficiency. When the battery runs low, it returns to the charger without any issues as long as nothing blocks the signal.
I was curious and let it run on our upper level, and I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t tumble down the stairs. The sensors detect the edge and it backs away safely.
Emptying the dust bin is straightforward, but removing hair and debris from the roller can be a bit tedious. The included tool helps, but it’s still not the easiest task. We briefly considered returning the 11S for an L60 with self-emptying, but it requires an app, and my wife isn’t interested in that option right now. However, the idea of a more powerful model that maps the house is definitely tempting for the future.
