I really appreciate the ability to connect the robot to Wi-Fi and start it whenever I want. I use it daily because of my dogs, and it performs exceptionally well. Initially, I was a bit skeptical due to its round shape, which isn’t ideal for corners in our open-concept home filled with angles. However, after using it on the main floor, I was pleasantly surprised. While it doesn’t pick up “everything,” it does a commendable job and performs better than I expected.
Pros: The setup was straightforward. I charged it, downloaded the app, and let it power up. The house was quite messy for its first run, but it did an excellent job, leaving even the entryway rug looking spotless. Despite my initial doubts, it manages to navigate into tight spots well. There are very few areas it can’t access, and if I only need to vacuum those few spots occasionally, I’m more than satisfied. It also goes under furniture and even my stove, which, to my embarrassment, hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. I usually run it while I’m home and clear the floor for it. It handles both wood floors and area rugs effortlessly, even climbing a bit onto our wood stove hearth.
Cons: It does bump into objects, which can be annoying to hear as it navigates around walls and furniture. It got stuck on the hearth during its last run, requiring me to rescue it, so I’m not entirely comfortable leaving it unattended. The dustbin is small and tends to fill up pretty quickly, especially since I run it every other day to avoid overflowing. Once the puppy is older and shedding, I might need to run it daily. I’m uncertain about its deep-cleaning abilities, but it effectively picks up surface dirt. After its first run, I expected to find missed spots, but I really couldn’t. It runs for a long time; I could manually vacuum the entire house before it finishes half of the first floor, IF I had the time, which I don’t, hence the Roomba.
