I absolutely love this machine! I really needed a soak cycle, which is hard to find in other models these days. The deep fill option is fantastic as well—it’s exactly what I needed! My husband tends to get pretty messy with chocolate, and his clothes come out looking brand new, just like they did with my old machine. Highly recommend!

This appliance stands out among “smart” machines because it allows you to override its default settings. I prefer my clothes to be fully submerged in water, and this machine accommodates that choice instead of deciding for me that it isn’t necessary. Its “dual-action” agitation feature ensures that clothes on top are rotated to the bottom, preventing them from staying dry throughout the cycle. I’m giving it 4 stars because newer models lack a pre-wash or standalone soak cycle, but many of us have found ways to manage without that. After my 18-year-old washing machine broke down, I felt overwhelmed by the options available, and it took me four tries to find this one. Overall, I’m satisfied with it and would recommend it.

I’m currently rating this 4 stars since I’ve just received it and have only used it a few times. So far, it’s performing excellently! I appreciate the features, and the control panel is simple to navigate. It’s quiet and does an effective job. My clothes come out clean and almost dry at the end of the cycle. The spin cycle works really well! I will update my review in a few weeks after completing more loads.

This product seems perfect for our needs. The dimensions fit our space just right. I’m having a bit of difficulty with the variety of options on the dial. However, I really appreciate the water fill selector. My previous washer was a hassle to operate—I had to carry buckets of water to reach the right level for clean laundry. With this water fill feature, that’s no longer a problem.

I previously owned an LG washer, which I loved. I chose the GE washer and dryer because they fit perfectly in my space. However, I find the drum to be quite flimsy and not as sturdy as the LG model, causing it to slide on the tile floor. It feels very unstable.

We’ve had this washing machine for just two days, and it’s been working non-stop with every load we could find! We’ve washed a large batch of cotton clothes, including blue jeans, a small load of old towels and dirty cleaning rags, two heavy sets of bath towels, a queen mattress pad, and several king-size sheets along with pillowcases. The mattress pad and sheets had bloodstains from a recent surgery, and they came out perfectly clean using cold water and oxygen bleach in the bleach dispenser.
We really appreciate the auto-sensing feature, which we expect to use frequently for regular clothing loads. We also tried the Eco Cold wash setting for the stained bedding, and it performed well.
We’ve enjoyed experimenting with various preprogrammed settings along with the auto-sensing option, and everything has worked flawlessly! We are extremely pleased.
While this machine does make noises that our old 25-year-old washer never did, it seems to clean our clothes better. They come out softer without any fabric softener, with fewer wrinkles, and are drier compared to our previous machine. Excellent results!
We also love being able to see the washing process through the glass window. Unlike some modern washers, this one allows you to pause and open the lid to add items or redistribute loads without restarting the entire cycle, which we find very convenient!
The machine comes with a clear, easy-to-understand manual, and a more detailed one is available online from GE. We highly recommend reading the manual first.
The delivery crew was fantastic, and the setup was straightforward. It’s about 3 inches taller than our old machine, but that’s not an issue for us—at 5’7″ and 5’11”, we can easily reach the bottom of the spacious tub. Plus, it’s a good-looking machine!
Overall, we’re thrilled with our decision! This washing machine is sensible, user-friendly, and well-designed. It’s easy to customize the settings, allowing for adjustments in water levels, temperatures, spin cycles, and it handles all types of clothing, bedding, bulky items, and even waterproof gear. We might finally tackle washing our two-man nylon tent and fiberfill sleeping bags!

I’ve been using my new washer for three weeks now, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Living on a farm, I needed a machine that could fill and operate like those from 25 years ago when necessary. At the same time, I wanted it to be efficient with water and energy for lighter loads. This washer excels at both!

Initially, I thought this washer was fantastic, but today marks the seventh day since I got it, and it won’t spin. Thankfully, I purchased the warranty, but it’s hard to believe a brand new product has already failed after just a week. It’s incredibly disappointing and frustrating for me.

We are thrilled with our new GE washing machine! While it is somewhat noisy, I was aware of this from previous reviews. It cleans our clothes exceptionally well. Since it’s still new, we haven’t explored all its features yet, but I did test the faster spin cycle, and it removed so much water that the clothes came out just damp, not soaking wet. That’s a fantastic feature! Our old GE washer lasted 18 years, which is why we chose to buy another one. If you need a washer, I highly recommend considering GE!

Caution with this model! I bought it in April 2023 and installed it on 4/24/23. Within a year, the digital programming started glitching—resetting our wash settings and occasionally locking up completely. The only fix was to unplug it for a reset. I should have reported the issue then, but I thought a year-old appliance shouldn’t have these problems. Fast forward six more months, and while trying to adjust the settings, sparks flew from the control panel into the tub. I unplugged it right away, and a service technician came the same day. It turned out that the lid latch wires were crimped and frayed, likely pinched during assembly, which caused the control module to fail. The repair cost was equivalent to buying a new washer. I just replaced it with a basic non-digital model of the same size.
