I have a Chicco Fit4 car seat, and I bought it because I had another baby. I planned to pass the Chicco down to the little one and get this Graco Slimfit3 Lx3in1 for my older child (even though he could still ride rear-facing in the Chicco due to his height) since it supposedly allows for rear-facing until a greater height. However, the reality is that his legs fit better in the Chicco when rear-facing than in the Graco Slimfit3 lx3in1.
It has significantly fewer reclining positions, and I find it hard to believe that if the bubble level indicator isn’t aligned, they suggest rolling towels to fill the gap between the car seat and the vehicle seat! I know they have certifications and all that, which calmed me down initially, so I continued reading and installed it using Isofix. But my goodness! It moves so easily, and I swear it’s properly installed and tightened. I’m not sure if it’s due to having a smaller base or the fact that my car (a Corolla) is different, but the Chicco doesn’t budge, and the space saved is almost unnoticeable. I also feel like it offers less side protection.
I’ll add a video or photos when I can, but if it weren’t for my rushing and the need to trust the certifications and the brand’s reliability, I would have returned it.
