Review of the iBUYPOWER Y60 Black Gaming PC
The iBUYPOWER Y60 Black Gaming PC (Y60BA9N47TS03) emerges as a notable contender in the realm of prebuilt gaming desktops. With its robust specifications and visually striking aesthetics, it promises to deliver a high-performance gaming experience coupled with the versatility required for content creation and streaming. Here, we delve into the various aspects of this powerful machine, examining its performance, design, and overall value.
Performance: Unleashing Power
Processor and Graphics
At the heart of the iBUYPOWER Y60 is the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, which operates at a base clock speed of 4.7 GHz. This powerful processor is designed to tackle demanding tasks, whether it’s gaming, video editing, or multitasking. Paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB GPU, this setup not only excels in gaming but also in rendering high-resolution graphics effortlessly.
Gaming Experience
Users report excellent gaming performance across various titles, even those that are graphically intensive. The ability to play competitive games like Fortnite on maximum settings without any issues is a huge plus. Moreover, the combination of the powerful CPU and GPU enables smooth framerates, with reports of reaching up to 165 FPS in games like World of Warcraft while maintaining high settings.
Memory and Storage
Complementing this powerhouse is 32GB of DDR5 RAM clocked at 5200MHz, which ensures smooth multitasking and efficient handling of memory-intensive applications. The 2TB NVMe SSD provides ample storage space, allowing for quick loading times and a significant improvement in workflow, especially for users engaged in video production or other intensive tasks. Many users have noted that tasks which used to take hours now take mere minutes thanks to the speed of the SSD.
Design: Aesthetic Appeal and Functionality
Case Design
The Y60 is housed in the aesthetically pleasing HYTE Y60 case, which features tempered glass panels and customizable RGB lighting. This design not only accentuates the gaming aesthetic but also allows users to showcase their hardware. However, the size of the case (dimensions of 18 x 11.2 x 18.2 inches) means it requires a dedicated space, which could be a consideration for those with limited room.
Cooling System
The cooling system is another highlight, with a bottom fan and adequate spacing for airflow. However, some users have reported that initial setups can lead to obstructed airflow if cables are not arranged properly. This emphasizes the need for careful cable management during installation.
Connectivity: Ready for the Future
The iBUYPOWER Y60 is equipped with an impressive array of ports and connectivity options. It features 4 USB 2.0 ports and 7 USB 3.0 ports, providing plenty of options for peripherals and accessories. With built-in WiFi, users can easily connect to the internet without the need for additional components.
Usability: Setup and Experience
Initial Setup
While many users found the initial setup straightforward and user-friendly, some noted that the included instructions could be misleading. The case’s magnetic panels can catch users off guard who expect screws for panel removal. This has led to frustration for some, though many have found useful resources on platforms like YouTube to guide them through the process.
Performance Consistency
Once set up, the Y60 has proven to be a reliable machine with very few complaints regarding performance. Most users report a silent operation with impressive speed and graphics quality, making it a solid investment for both gaming and professional use.
Value for Money: An Attractive Proposition
When compared with similar specifications from brands like Dell or HP, the iBUYPOWER Y60 presents a compelling value proposition, often costing $200-$400 less. This affordability, combined with high-end components, positions it as one of the best budget prebuilt gaming PCs available.
Customer Feedback: Diverse Experiences
Positive Reviews
Numerous users have praised the PC for its performance, ease of setup, and overall aesthetics. Those who use it for gaming, streaming, and work have all noted satisfaction with the performance and reliability of the machine.
Constructive Criticism
However, not all feedback is positive. Some users reported issues such as broken components upon arrival, with difficulties in customer service regarding returns and replacements. Such experiences can tarnish what is otherwise an impressive product.
Final Verdict: Overall Rating
The iBUYPOWER Y60 Black Gaming PC stands out for its powerful specifications, stunning design, and great value for money. While there are a few points of concern primarily regarding setup instructions and some customer service experiences, the overall consensus leans heavily towards satisfaction.
Overall Rating: ★★★★½ (4.5/5)
In summary, for gamers, streamers, and content creators seeking a powerful yet budget-friendly desktop, the iBUYPOWER Y60 is a fantastic choice. Its standout components, coupled with an appealing design, make it a worthy investment for anyone looking to elevate their gaming experience or professional workflow.

I found an incredible deal with this machine, especially considering that a similarly specced model from Dell or HP would run $200-$400 more. The standout feature for me was the 2TB SSD, which delivers ample speed for the games I enjoy (all of which are at least 3 years old) on maximum settings. Additionally, I do a lot of video editing, and rendering tasks that previously took all night on my old Core i5 with 16GB RAM and a low-end graphics card are now completed in under 30 minutes.
I do have a couple of issues to mention:
1) The setup instructions included were completely inaccurate. I searched high and low for screws to remove the side panels, only to discover that everything is magnetic. I recommend checking out YouTube videos for guidance on the case, as the model number is printed on the side of the box.
2) While attempting to see if I could add another hard drive, I noticed some wires were obstructing the bottom fan, which I hadn’t even realized was there, preventing it from functioning. I suggest removing both side panels and checking for any cable blockages before powering it on.
One last tip: consider purchasing a better Wi-Fi antenna than the one provided. I got a $15 one from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XHBFXXH), and it quadrupled my Wi-Fi speed instantly!
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It has been fast and reliable over the past two weeks, meeting my gaming needs and surpassing my expectations for video rendering.

This is the best prebuilt budget PC I’ve come across. I already own the same case and a decent graphics card, so I decided to upgrade and keep the other as a backup. After plugging it in and powering it up, everything worked flawlessly. It handles competitive games like Fortnite effortlessly and performs exceptionally well. I really appreciate the matching case and high-quality gaming components. I’ve had it for a week now, and it’s running smoothly without any problems. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

This is my first gaming PC, and after some research, I chose iBuyPower. I haven’t been let down. The setup was a breeze, and I’ve experienced no issues while using it. I also use it for work, and it handles everything I throw at it with ease. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

TL;DR – The Y60 arrived with damaged components. Conflicting information from Amazon and IBuyPower led to an RMA denial, and now I’m waiting for a refund after returning the system.
The Y60 was delivered late by USPS. While the shipping box appeared fine, I found a significant dent in the actual system box upon opening it, which raised immediate concerns. Inside, everything looked pristine, but there was an unusual foam cushion pressing against the 4070 TI Super. When I removed it, I noticed the graphics card was misaligned and not seated properly in the port.
I had to use the motherboard’s HDMI port to get a display, and the liquid cooling unit was making strange noises. I figured the system just needed the 4070 drivers, but the installer indicated no Nvidia card was detected, prompting me to inspect the graphics card. That’s when I discovered the damaged HYTE PCIe extension port and the cracked, bent PCB of the 4070. I also realized that the motherboard was Micro ATX, not full ATX, which prevented me from connecting the 4070 to the reinforced PCIe slot due to the case’s size.
I contacted Amazon for assistance and expressed my desire to reach out to the manufacturer for a replacement or parts. An Amazon representative suggested I would likely receive a replacement and keep the damaged unit. However, after speaking with an IBuyPower representative, I was initially told they would RMA the 4070 and the HYTE extension port, only to be informed later that they wouldn’t RMA anything and that I needed to resolve the issue with Amazon since the damage occurred during shipping.
After speaking with another Amazon representative, I learned my only options were to return the system for a full refund or keep the broken unit for a partial refund. Unfortunately, the partial refund wouldn’t even cover the cost of a new 4070, so I opted for the full refund. The downside is that the refund won’t be processed until around December 14th, leaving me out over $2,000 for a PC the manufacturer refused to RMA.

Works perfectly and is very affordable. It’s cost-effective for my son and had no problems right from the start. It plays all of his games without a hitch. I’m not a tech expert.

This is the best computer I’ve ever used, and I’ve owned around ten over the years. The setup was incredibly simple; if you can read instructions, you’ll easily follow the user-friendly prompts to get everything updated. Just remember to invest in a surge protector and some antivirus software. The speed is phenomenal, and the graphics are absolutely stunning—crisp, clear, and incredibly smooth. This is a fantastic purchase and worth every penny. I’m thrilled I bought it! Ever since the package arrived, I’ve been overjoyed. If you’re in the market for a great computer that fits a tight budget, look no further—this is it! I hope this helps, and thank you for reading.

The PC operates exceptionally quietly while delivering outstanding performance. The case is quite large, so if space is limited, you might want to consider that. However, I really enjoy it and have the room for it. The graphics card (GPU) is installed separately from the motherboard and linked with cables, which helps maintain lower temperatures in the spacious case. I usually have concerns with prebuilt PCs, but after a couple of months with this one, I’m pleased to report it’s still working well. I’ll update if any issues arise.
