This review delves into the performance, design, and overall value of this gaming monitor, which is tailored to meet the demands of both casual and serious gamers.
Design and Build Quality
Aesthetic Appeal and Ergonomics
The LG 32GS60QC-B sports a striking design with a sleek black finish that complements any gaming setup. The three-side virtually borderless design enhances immersion, allowing the monitor to blend seamlessly into a multi-monitor configuration. Its 1000R curvature is particularly noteworthy, as it wraps around the viewer’s field of vision, providing a more immersive gaming experience.
Despite its large screen size of 32 inches, the monitor remains relatively lightweight at 13 pounds, making it manageable for installation and repositioning. The overall build quality is solid; the plastic used feels sturdy, and the stand is adjustable, allowing gamers to find their ideal viewing angle.
Connectivity Options
The monitor features two HDMI ports and one DisplayPort, providing versatility for connecting multiple devices, whether it’s a gaming console or a high-performance PC. However, it’s worth noting that the absence of built-in speakers might be a drawback for some users, as external audio solutions will be necessary.

This combination ensures that fast-paced games are displayed smoothly without motion blur, allowing gamers to react quickly during intense gameplay. The AMD FreeSync technology further eliminates screen tearing, providing a fluid and enjoyable gaming experience.

The enhanced gaming GUI offers various modes such as Gamer, FPS, and RTS, enabling users to optimize their settings based on the type of game they are playing. Features like Dynamic Action Sync and Black Stabilizer provide additional advantages in competitive gaming, allowing players to respond swiftly to in-game actions and gain visibility in darker scenes.

I recently upgraded to this LG monitor from my old 1080p display, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The image quality is exceptional on this 1440p, HDR, and Nvidia G-SYNC compatible monitor. The improved refresh rates and clearer visuals have noticeably reduced eye strain and headaches that I often experienced before. I can only imagine that the benefits would be even greater with 4K or 8K displays and higher refresh rates, which further alleviate strain on the eyes and brain.
Since switching to this LG 1440p display, I’ve seen a remarkable difference in my experience. If you have a high-end graphics card, like a 3080/3090 or 4080/4090, I’d suggest considering an upgrade to 4K or better. However, based on my 30+ years of PC usage and gaming, this LG monitor has provided the best experience at 1440p. I honestly didn’t expect the quality to be so impressive until I compared it side by side with my old display.
In the three images I included, you can see the difference: on the left is the LG 2560x1440p while gaming, and on the right is a desktop wallpaper in 1920x1080p. The disparity in clarity is evident, which is why the right image appears smaller and less sharp. Just for reference, the images are from the “Visions of Mana” demo (Square Enix), captured using an EVGA 3060 XC 12gb GPU on my secondary monitor, which features an XFX RX 570 XXX Edition 8gb GPU displaying a free Microsoft “Windows Spotlight” image.

The LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B has been an amazing addition to my setup, far exceeding my expectations. The 27-inch display features vibrant colors and sharp resolution, making everything from gaming to everyday tasks feel truly immersive. The fast response time ensures incredibly smooth gameplay, and the visuals are so striking that they really bring my games to life. I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality performance at this price point; it truly excels in every aspect.
What sets this monitor apart is the exceptional value it provides. It’s rare to find a product that combines stunning visuals, smooth gameplay, and a sleek design without a hefty price tag. The build quality is solid, and the adjustable stand adds comfort for extended use. If you want a monitor that delivers outstanding performance without the premium price, this one is definitely a winner.

This is the best 2K monitor out there! The only downside is the base installation, which requires screws, and the base itself is a bit small. However, the screen is fantastic—if you want to use a PS5, it supports up to 4K and 120fps. I was torn between this and the Samsung G5, but this monitor stands out in every aspect. I compared it with the G5 alongside my brother, and this one came out on top. I’ve returned many monitors to Amazon, so they might shut down my account! In short, I’ve tried numerous screens from well-known brands, but honestly, you don’t need to look beyond this one.

This monitor remains an excellent choice, even though it has been on the market for a few years. However, it’s not worth purchasing at its regular price, as you can find newer models with better features for that cost. But if you can get it on sale (around $3500 MXN), the cost-benefit ratio is unbeatable. One important note is that, despite Amazon’s description stating it has “Nano IPS,” this model, the 27GL83A-B, actually features a traditional IPS panel. It was released as a more affordable version of the 27GL850. While both models share many characteristics, the GL83A-B lacks the Nano IPS filter and USB ports. If you’re interested in connecting it to an Xbox Series X or PS5, it’s doable, although the setup process can be a bit tricky (there are plenty of detailed videos online to guide you). Aside from that, assembly is straightforward, the ergonomics are impressive, and the image quality is outstanding—as long as you calibrate the colors, as the factory settings can make it appear washed out and dull.

I was truly impressed with this monitor right from the unboxing. Setting it up took less than 10 minutes—it was incredibly easy! The components feel high-quality and very durable. It supports my Xbox Series S at 1440p with 120 fps and 4k Ultra HD at 60 fps, delivering a remarkably sharp image. The colors are vibrant and really stand out! There are numerous settings to customize, including options for color, RGB, vsync, and more. In terms of connectivity, it has 2 HDMI ports and one display port. Just a heads up, there are no built-in speakers, so you’ll need a sound bar or headphones, but that’s pretty standard for many monitors these days.

This monitor is fantastic! With a 27-inch IPS display, 1440p resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 99% sRGB coverage, and a 1ms response time, it has everything a gamer could want. Plus, it supports both FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync, and surprisingly, it even has HDR! The HDR feature performs quite well, although it’s not mentioned in the product description, making it a pleasant surprise. There are multiple modes available to suit your eye comfort and the capabilities of your gaming device. For instance, it can simulate HDR for devices that don’t support it. Overall, I highly recommend this monitor for gaming; I’ve been using it for two months without any issues, and it’s truly a great product.

This is hands down the best gaming monitor I’ve ever purchased, and it truly lives up to the hype. It offers an impressive refresh rate and size at a reasonable price! The only drawback is that it lacks built-in speakers; while this isn’t a major issue for me, I believe they should be included at this price point. Aside from that, the design is fantastic, though I wish the stand offered more orientation options. Overall, I love it and plan to use it for many years to come!

The monitor is primarily made of high-quality opaque and textured plastic. It has noticeable bezels on the top and sides (about 5 mm), which is a bit surprising for a gaming monitor in 2023, but it doesn’t bother me. The panel performs excellently, displaying colors that I find appealing. It truly is 144Hz and works perfectly with NVIDIA G-Sync. Like most IPS panels, it has some light bleed, but it’s only noticeable when the screen is completely black; during regular gaming use, it’s hardly perceivable. I use it in a well-lit space, and I haven’t encountered any issues with its brightness—it’s outstanding.
There’s a button/joystick at the bottom for navigating the settings interface, which looks modern and functions flawlessly, offering a wide range of configurations. I mounted it on a 100×100 VESA stand without any issues, so I didn’t test the included stand, but it appears to be of good quality and sturdy enough.

I purchased the 32-inch model (LG 32GS60QC-B) and I’m really enjoying it. The display is incredibly fast and responsive, with excellent color accuracy, which is perfect for a casual gamer like me. This has been a significant upgrade from my smaller screen.

I use the LG UltraGear 27-inch as my secondary monitor daily, and it has been fantastic. The QHD resolution is sharp, and the 1ms response time is excellent for gaming. The IPS panel delivers vibrant colors and broad viewing angles, making it ideal for multitasking. The HDR10 support enhances the visuals as well. Overall, it’s a dependable and clear monitor, perfect for both gaming and productivity.
