I initially bought the 3100 and was really impressed, but I decided to trade it in for the 5610, which I had always wanted. This device is truly amazing! It’s robust and well-constructed. The scanner features an excellent anti-shock design with impressive fit and finish. It even came with a carrying case, and the instruction manual was surprisingly detailed and well-written. I can’t wait to explore the additional features of this incredible tool. Plus, it’s bidirectional! For the value it offers, nothing else comes close. Thank you, Innova; I’m a very satisfied customer!

I found this product to be ineffective since it doesn’t work in my country. It’s frustrating to see a product sold internationally when it’s not compatible outside of America. Total waste of money.

I’ve been using an Innova Scanner for years, but when I tried to update its firmware and database, I found it wasn’t possible. After contacting Innova and researching new models, I chose the 5610. This model offers all the features needed for both professionals and DIY enthusiasts, plus it includes free updates. I recently used it to diagnose a vehicle with a check engine light, and I’m impressed with its performance. It was a worthwhile investment in an excellent tool. Thank you!

This scanner is incredibly user-friendly! As the owner of a used car dealership, it has made diagnosing vehicles a breeze. It’s compatible with nearly any vehicle equipped with an OBD2 port. This tool will save you both trips to the mechanic and the associated diagnostic fees; it practically pays for itself after just one use. When you scan a vehicle, you receive a detailed report on its condition, which is sent directly to your phone, complete with all the information needed for repairs. It even provides an estimate for parts, so you won’t get taken advantage of by local shops. Even if you’re not a car expert, this tool will make you seem like one!

I’ve been using Innova for years and just upgraded through their upgrade program at a great price, especially compared to the bigger brands. This tool is fantastic for both home users and professional ASE mechanics. It also features a comprehensive repair app that connects via Bluetooth to your smartphone. You can’t go wrong with this tool before heading out for repairs!

The 5610 model scanner is outstanding! It’s incredibly user-friendly and provides clear explanations for both results and troubleshooting steps. I successfully resolved my catalytic converter issue, which was due to an incomplete CAT sensor that caused me to fail the smog check. The instructions to help the car’s computer complete the test were especially helpful.
Additionally, the customer service is top-notch. They responded to my inquiries within hours, even late at night. I highly recommend this scanner to all DIY auto enthusiasts!

I bought it for my CrossFox, but unfortunately, it didn’t work. It doesn’t support my car model, and I had some doubts since it’s a scanner designed for the U.S. market, so I wasn’t sure it would read a vehicle from Brazil. I hoped it would work, but it didn’t help at all.

I’ve bought at least eight different scanners, some of which cost twice as much as this one. I’ve spent thousands trying to find a reliable option. Among all the models from this brand that I own, as well as my GM Tech2 system, this is the only scanner I still use. I rely on diagnostic scanners nearly every day, and I exclusively use this one or my HPTuners MPV3. If you do a lot of automotive repairs and need a scanner more than once a month, this is definitely the one to get—hands down!

I’ve heard great things about this scan tool, but I haven’t been able to get the app to let me download it.

The 5610 is a solid scanner for automotive enthusiasts, ideal for the above-average DIYer. However, compatibility with various vehicles can be inconsistent, so it’s wise to verify with the company that it meets your specific needs. The display is user-friendly, and the OBDII cable features a light to help locate the port. It can test your battery and alternator, and it pairs with an app that enhances its functionality. The live data is particularly valuable if you learn how to interpret it, and the manual is quite detailed. I recommend getting a protective case and a mini USB cable; I specifically purchased the ANCEL Case for OBD2 Scanner, which you can find here: ANCEL Case for OBD2 Scanner.
On the downside, it lacks a case and USB cable. While the manual is detailed, it is only available in electronic format. Despite promises of free updates, the software has been stuck at the 2018 version since I bought it over a year ago. I’ve heard from multiple Innova employees that updates were coming, but none have materialized. The listing refers to the device as the “Newest 2022 OBD2 Diagnostic Code Scanner,” which is misleading. If your vehicle is from 2018 or earlier, this scanner could be a good option. For anything newer, it only offers basic code reading (which you can find in a $20 scanner). I recommend waiting until Innova can reliably prove their software has been updated before considering the 5610 for vehicles post-2018.
