After extensive research for an affordable treadmill, I discovered this NordicTrack model, which offered an impressive combination of quality, features, and value. Upon receiving it, we were thrilled! It has everything we need for those dreary days in the Pacific Northwest.
I highly suggest opting for the extra delivery service to your chosen room, especially if you plan to place it upstairs. Unboxing was straightforward, and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. There are also helpful online videos if you need extra assistance. Just a heads up, it’s quite heavy, so having two people on hand is essential.
Three months in, I’m still very pleased with my purchase and would rate it 5 stars. I also recommend getting the maintenance kit, as our belt began to slip after about a month. While the manual advises tightening the belt, I learned through further research that it’s best to ensure the belt deck is well lubricated first. The belt should be adequately tightened from the factory, so avoid over-tightening to prevent damage! If you’re using it frequently in a warm environment, expect to reapply lubrication every 1-3 months.

I’m extremely disappointed with this treadmill. Despite reading some reviews before my purchase, it has fallen far short of my expectations.
I can’t find any positives to mention. At 140lbs, I shouldn’t experience this level of instability, and I can’t imagine how it would hold up for heavier users. I would not recommend this treadmill.

Edit: The NordicTrack maintenance agreement feels like a scam. I paid $200 for a three-year plan, and while my first service visit (still under warranty) was free, I just found out they’re charging me a $25 travel fee for the second year’s visit. If my machine were actually broken, I might consider that reasonable, but for just basic lubrication and diagnostics, it seems excessive. The treadmill itself is fantastic, but think twice before committing to the maintenance agreement. I could likely hire a technician for basic services at a much lower cost, and even set aside the $200 for any potential repairs in the future.
One year review: Absolutely worth it—especially when using the iFit app. I purchased the basic T6.5S model, which was on sale for under $500 with delivery. I also bought a Samsung Android Tablet, and it works seamlessly with the iFit app. The treadmill really excels when you regularly engage with the iFit workouts. The speed and incline adjust according to the session, though you can modify them as needed.
The iFit trainers are excellent, and I particularly enjoy workouts led by Tommy Rivs and Stacie Clark. Over the past year, I’ve logged 50 miles of running and 30 miles of hiking, shedding 10 pounds and feeling significantly better overall. The combination of the treadmill and iFit has been instrumental in my progress.
Scheduling annual maintenance was straightforward and hassle-free. The five-year maintenance plan has proven worthwhile for me, especially since this is my second treadmill and I anticipated putting in a lot of workout hours.
Assembly and first impressions (right after purchase): The initial instructions were a bit unclear unless you refer to the manual. I attempted the video build option, but it lacked sufficient detail. They include three different bolt sizes for each support, which can be confusing because the packaging suggests only one size. Once I reviewed the manual, everything made sense.
There are a few spots where they suggest having a helper, which would be beneficial, but I managed solo. I used ratcheting bars to secure the control panel while connecting everything. It worked well.
Another tricky part was adding the pressure tube beneath the running track. With a longer ratcheting bar, I was able to lift the track to make the necessary connections. It felt a bit precarious, as that track is heavy, and I set up chairs to prevent it from crashing to the ground if it slipped. I made sure to work cautiously near the edge to stay safe.
The treadmill performed excellently right out of the box. While I’m not sure about its long-term durability, I’ve seen videos showcasing its functionality even after six months. My previous treadmill lasted five years, and I expect this one will too, especially with the auto incline feature on the NordicTrack.

Great equipment with numerous programs and a worthwhile annual iFit membership. There was a minor issue with the tablet’s programming, but they resolved it quickly over the phone. I have no regrets; it’s exactly what I needed.

It was easy to assemble, I use it 4-5 times a week and it hasn’t let me down. The noise level is normal compared to other treadmills I’ve tried at gyms. As for the size, I think it’s perfect if you have limited space; even though it’s not foldable, it doesn’t get in the way and works perfectly. It was definitely a great purchase.

I liked how it works; it’s quiet. However, I think it should come with preloaded training options instead of requiring an additional payment for e-training.

Setup was a breeze and took about an hour. The box is quite heavy, so it’s best to have two people to move it. The unit is sturdy and constructed from high-quality materials. I purchased it during Black Friday 2024, and it was an excellent deal for a reputable brand. It performs well!

If the Wi-Fi fails, the machine shuts down and cannot be used without an internet connection.

OVERALL *
Years ago, I purchased a NordicTrack treadmill similar to this one and got a lot of great use out of it. The only reason I sold it was due to a move to a rental that didn’t have space for it. Recently, we bought a new home with a spacious workout area, so I searched for a similar model on Amazon and purchased it in January during a sale. So far, it has been an excellent machine, and I’ve already logged 50 hours and about 200 miles on it.
ASSEMBLY *
I opted for the package deal that included an installer, so I can only share that he had no issues and completed the assembly in under an hour. It’s been working well ever since.
GENERAL USE *
This is a mid-range treadmill, but it meets most of my needs. I sometimes use the iFit programs that adjust speed and incline; occasionally, I wish for a higher incline than 12%, but it’s not a frequent need. I rarely sprint, even at the maximum speed of 12 mph, so it’s fast enough for me. The speed and incline controls are generally responsive, though there are moments when I need to press the button multiple times for it to register. Transitions in speed and incline are perfectly fine—not too fast or too slow. The dimensions of the treadmill are great; at 6′ 4″, I never feel cramped. I have a few suggestions for improvements, which I’ll detail below.
iFIT *
I’ve enjoyed some of the iFit programs, although I feel there’s more potential to explore. The screen on the treadmill is not large, making it less engaging than I’d hoped. The automatic control of speed and incline is what I find most valuable. The touchscreen buttons are somewhat small and not always very responsive. While they do work, navigating can be sluggish, often requiring multiple attempts to get a button to respond—reminding me of older smartphones.
A significant drawback is the lack of a way to sync the iFit program with a computer screen or TV. My previous NordicTrack allowed me to use the iFit website and sync it to a larger display. It seems that feature has been removed, leaving me with only the small treadmill screen. I’ve contacted support several times about this, but it appears only high-end models have an HDMI output, which seems like a missed opportunity.
I want to emphasize that my suggestions for improvement don’t reflect dissatisfaction with the treadmill; I really am happy with it! However, there are a few areas for enhancement:
Overall, I’m very pleased with this treadmill. It helps me stay active during Idaho winters, preventing significant weight gain. I can’t imagine life without it!
