A tip for fellow Tesla users: be sure to format your drive at least once a month (consider moving Sentry events elsewhere). When Sentry events occupy most of your SSD, loading can slow down, and you’ll have less space for continuous 24/7 recording. Regular formatting will speed up access to Sentry events and free up more space for live video, allowing you to record 3-4 days continuously instead of just one.
Another note for Tesla users: if formatting doesn’t enable your SSD to work with the dashcam, connect it to your laptop and recreate the folder structure from your old USB drive or SSD (just the top two levels, like creating
