I found this camera to be small with a nice and functional design. The image quality is very good, and it includes features like motion detection. What I liked most is that it comes with multiple mounting options suitable for different spaces. I haven’t tested it outdoors yet; I’ve only used it indoors.

Review:
First off, I must say these cameras are fantastic for the price! I currently own three Wyze Pan Cam V3s and plan to get more for my mother’s house soon.
Regarding the price, these cameras are quite inexpensive given the range of features they offer. While you can definitely find higher-quality options, they come with a significantly higher price tag. In my opinion, the Pan Cam V3 delivers exceptional value for its cost.
Setting up these cameras is incredibly straightforward. Simply plug in the included USB cable to the wall adapter, download the app, and after a few minutes of configuration, you’re ready to go. They can be used both indoors and outdoors. For indoor use, just find a suitable spot, plug it in, and you’re all set. The camera operates quietly while panning, meaning it won’t disturb anyone nearby. However, I was surprised to discover that the movement is audible when reviewing recorded footage, which I’ll touch on in the cons.
The camera’s build quality is impressive; it feels solid and well-made, especially considering its low price. The overall video quality is good, although I have encountered some minor issues while panning (more details in the cons). The audio quality is also decent—I can clearly hear conversations outside, so the two-way audio feature works well.
The app is filled with options, allowing users to either keep it simple or explore advanced settings for more control. You can adjust sensitivity for detection events, manage recordings, set alarms, and customize notifications. While some features require a subscription, you can still access saved event videos as long as you have an SD card (not included).
Cons:
The A.I. detection features in the app are where I see the most room for improvement. You can set triggers for events like cars, people, pets, and packages, but in my experience, the camera has misidentified cars as pets and vice versa. There are times when it gets fixated on wall shadows and tracks them for extended periods. After some tweaking with the detection settings, I’ve improved this somewhat, but it still happens occasionally. The app does allow user feedback on detection events, which I hope will enhance the A.I. over time.
Another concern is with the waypoints for the pan-and-scan feature. I’ve set waypoints to cover the length of my house, but they tend to shift over time. I find myself needing to readjust them every few weeks, which is a minor annoyance but manageable given the price.
Additionally, the audio during panning can be quite noticeable in recorded videos; one of my cameras sounds like a woodpecker! This is a small issue since I’m primarily focused on the video quality, but it’s worth mentioning. Also, the video can become blurry while panning, though it clears up within a second after stopping.
Despite these minor drawbacks, I genuinely love these cameras. With three in my possession, I plan to add more to my collection. If you’re seeking affordable yet quality cameras for extra peace of mind, these are definitely worth every penny!

Great purchase! It was simple to set up, and the compact size delivers a high-quality image. I only wish the price was the same for the black color. However, I was disappointed with the delivery; the driver left it in the lobby instead of bringing it to my door for safety.

I’m planning to install a ton of these cameras. The installation and setup are incredibly quick and easy; you can probably have them mounted and ready to go in about ten minutes each if you’re a little handy. For more challenging locations that require wall penetration and caulking for the power cable, it might take an hour or two. The included power cables are flat and thin enough that I can easily close my window frames over them without any noticeable resistance or damage to the wire jacket. Your experience may vary, but if you use longer cables, you can test the fit risk-free with the provided ones. Extra-long cables are quite affordable, and since they only need to carry USB power, you don’t have to worry about data cables. If you’re handy, you can easily solder your own custom cables, which is what I plan to do for my other Wyze installations to discreetly run two-conductor wire behind the cameras. This is entirely optional, as there are plenty of ways to set this up. It’s so easy that anyone can do it—seriously, even a clumsy orangutan could manage it.
From over 1,120 geodesic miles away, I’m currently panning and tilting one of my cameras, and it responds to my commands with a total latency of around 200 milliseconds. I can send about five to six commands per second. The video quality is excellent in daylight, streetlight, and complete darkness.
I’m not sure what their subscription service offers yet, but A. you don’t need it—I’ve been using these cameras without any issues for a few days before subscribing tonight, and B. it’s not very expensive. The “unlimited cameras” option seems reasonable since I’m about to have these monitoring every inch of multiple properties. I’m even hoping the AI facial recognition can distinguish deer faces!
It’s probably worth investing in quality and endurance, even if it means sacrificing some capacity on the microSD cards. With factory settings, they record a lot of data—on the first day, I think each camera logged about 15-20GB. I’ve noticed a significant drop in data usage since making a few adjustments.
I encountered a minor issue, but customer service resolved it as quickly as possible, accommodating an unusual request that was likely outside their warranty terms. Their service was flawless.
In summary, this is a fantastic product with excellent customer support, all at a very affordable price. The installation and setup are extremely straightforward.

I’ve been using the Wyze Pan Cam, and it’s truly one of my best purchases. The pan-and-tilt feature operates smoothly, providing extensive coverage to monitor everything in the room effortlessly. The video quality is impressive, even at night, which is surprising for the price point.
Setting it up was a breeze, and the app makes controlling the camera and receiving motion alerts very straightforward. The two-way audio is a great bonus—I didn’t expect to use it much, but it’s proven useful on several occasions.
Overall, it’s a reliable little camera that performs excellently without costing a fortune. If you need something dependable and user-friendly, I highly recommend it!

After over three months of regular use, I can confidently say this is a very good camera 📷. It records data directly to the card, allowing you to download and edit as needed. I use it as a monitor for my baby both day and night in her room. However, I do have some concerns about whether it could be accessed by third parties since there is no internal privacy option to disable recordings or external access. Every time we need to change the baby, we switch it to trial mode and then turn it off, and it goes back to normal recording afterward.
