When it comes to maintaining a clean home, especially for pet owners, a powerful and versatile vacuum cleaner is essential. The Shark NV752 Rotator Powered Lift-Away TruePet Upright Vacuum aims to fill that need with a plethora of features designed for both efficiency and convenience. This review examines the vacuum’s specifications, functionalities, and user experiences, offering a complete picture of its performance.
Design and Build Quality
Aesthetics and Dimensions
The Shark NV752 comes in a striking Bordeaux color, which adds a touch of elegance to any cleaning arsenal. With product dimensions of 13.2″L x 11.9″W x 45″H and a weight of 15.4 pounds, this vacuum strikes a balance between robust build quality and manageable size. Despite being an upright vacuum, it is lightweight enough for most users to handle comfortably.
User-Friendly Features
Equipped with a large 0.88-quart dust cup capacity, the NV752 allows for extended cleaning sessions without the need for frequent emptying. The dust cup is easy to remove, facilitating quick disposal of debris. The vacuum also features a washable HEPA filter, ensuring that allergens and dust are effectively trapped, which is particularly beneficial for allergy sufferers.
Performance and Functionality
Suction Power and Versatility
Powered by a 1150-watt motor, the Shark NV752 delivers impressive suction power, making quick work of both carpet and hard floor cleaning. The ability to switch effortlessly between different surface types is enabled by fingertip controls that allow users to toggle between hard floor and carpet modes.
Lift-Away Technology
One of the standout features of the NV752 is its Powered Lift-Away technology. This innovation allows the vacuum pod to be detached, enabling users to clean hard-to-reach areas like under furniture or on stairs. The powered brushroll continues to spin, ensuring that pet hair and dirt are removed even from awkward spaces.
Additional Tools
The vacuum comes with several attachments, including a self-cleaning Pet Power Brush, an upholstery tool, and a crevice tool. These accessories enhance the vacuum’s versatility, making it suitable for cleaning various surfaces, from carpets to delicate fabrics like curtains.
User Experience and Feedback
Positive Experiences
Many users have praised the Shark NV752 for its effective pet hair removal capabilities. As one pet owner noted, the vacuum stalls the brush if something becomes tangled, preventing damage and ensuring a thorough cleaning experience. The LED headlights on the vacuum also help reveal hidden debris, enhancing the overall cleaning experience.
Areas for Improvement
While many users appreciate the vacuum’s swivel steering, some have noted that the design can make it tip over easily. Additionally, the cord length could be a potential drawback for larger spaces, requiring users to switch outlets frequently. However, the overall consensus remains positive, with most users expressing satisfaction with their purchase.
Noise Level and Operation
With a noise level of 80 dB, the Shark NV752 operates at a volume typical for upright vacuums. While it may not be whisper-quiet, many users have commented that it is quieter than other models they have owned, such as Dyson or Dirt Devil.
Overall Rating: 4.4/5
Taking into account the vacuum’s design, performance, and user feedback, we arrive at an overall rating of 4.4 out of 5. The Shark NV752 Rotator Powered Lift-Away TruePet Upright Vacuum stands out for its powerful suction, versatility, and pet-friendly features. However, minor drawbacks, such as cord length and the potential for tipping, prevent it from receiving a perfect score.
Final Thoughts
In summary, the Shark NV752 is an impressive vacuum cleaner that delivers on its promises. It is particularly well-suited for pet owners and those needing a reliable cleaning solution for various surfaces. With its thoughtful engineering and practical features, this vacuum is a worthy investment for anyone looking to maintain a clean and healthy home environment.

I absolutely love this vacuum! It’s a marvel—it picks up even the tiniest dust particles. However, be careful with the cables, as it can suck those up too, and they can get tangled in the roller. I panicked at first, thinking I had broken it, but with a little gentle pulling, it came free. The suction power is incredible, especially on carpets; you can feel the difference immediately when switching from hard floors to carpet. I’m thrilled with it, though the cable can be a bit of a hassle.

We’ve relied on Hoover’s best upright and canister vacuums for years, but as they aged and became harder to repair, it was time for a change. I had already bought a Severin canister vacuum that I adore for its quiet operation and portability, but finding an upright was challenging.
Then I discovered this Shark model, and though I was unsure if it would meet our needs, I compared countless options before choosing this one based on its reviews and features. I haven’t regretted it since. This lightweight vacuum is incredibly versatile.
The motor is powerful yet significantly quieter than other models we’ve owned, and it offers numerous ways to use it. The design is brilliant—detaching the motor and dust cup is as simple as pushing a button, allowing you to use the wand to reach under furniture, even a king-size bed. Reattaching is just as easy, without needing to turn it off. You can also effortlessly detach the wand handle to switch to a brush for cleaning upholstery or curtains, and it snaps back in place seamlessly.
Emptying the dust cup is a breeze with no mess on the way to the trash can. Adjusting for different surfaces—from bare floors to door mats, rugs, and wall-to-wall carpet—is straightforward. The lights on the front are great for spotting dirt and hair on the floor—who knew there was so much? Overall, it’s an excellent machine that makes cleaning much less of a chore.

After a long wait to replace my 12-year-old Dyson due to budget constraints, I finally made the switch. I had been quite disappointed with the Dyson; it was pricey, broke down multiple times, and lacked the suction power I needed. After extensive research, I decided on the Shark NV752 for its impressive features. Assembly was a breeze, and I love how easy it is to switch between carpet and hard floor settings, as well as the tank-only option. The suction is outstanding, and I appreciate the dual trash release canisters. Cleaning hair and debris off the roller is relatively simple.
I rated it four stars mainly because the cord is too short. This might not seem significant, but even in my small home, I find it frustrating to have to plug into different outlets in each room. While the vacuum has a fantastic swivel function, it tends to tip over too easily. I know this is a common issue with swivel vacuums, but it’s a bit excessive here. Overall, I really like the product and would definitely recommend it, provided these two drawbacks aren’t a dealbreaker for you. Additionally, the sturdy, high-quality plastic parts are easy to replace and add to.

I initially planned to buy a different vacuum on Prime Day, but after waiting too long, it sold out. I decided to take a chance on this one, and I’m so glad I did! It features both low and high carpet settings, as well as a hardwood floor option, making it easy to maneuver. Having used Shark vacuums before, I already liked the brand, but this model is far superior to the Dirt Devil pet vacuum. It picks up significantly more dirt and cat hair than the Dirt Devil does. Plus, it’s simple to empty and rarely gets clogged. The motor operates much more quietly as well.
While it doesn’t include an air freshener, that’s a minor issue for me. I love the LED lights, and overall, I’m very pleased with this vacuum. I expect it to last a long time, and I’m happy with my purchase.
I highly recommend this vacuum, especially for the price I paid. I know the price has increased since Prime Day, and it may be an older model, but I don’t mind. For the money I spent, it’s definitely worth it.

I want to start by saying that I have two cats at home—one long-haired and one short-haired. I use two robot vacuums that clean a few times a week, plus a stick vacuum to tackle things like cat litter that gets tracked around the house. I also have a Eureka canister vacuum that I bought as a temporary solution; I knew it wasn’t the best, but it was affordable and did the job. Additionally, I own a Tineco S5 vacuum mop combo, which I absolutely love.
I bought this Shark vacuum to replace the Eureka because I needed better tools for cleaning my upholstered furniture and I was sure my other vacuums weren’t effectively picking up cat hair. Before making this purchase, I carefully examined various product specifications. I was adamant about having an LED light and did not want to compromise on suction power, which ruled out cordless vacuums. After comparing several Shark models and other brands based on wattage, I found this one had the highest suction power. A bonus is that you can detach the vacuum body to clean upholstery, stairs, and other surfaces with the wand attachment.
I had no idea how much easier this would make cleaning furniture, and now I can’t imagine living without it. It feels like having both a canister and an upright vacuum in one. My favorite feature is the LED light on the handheld wand, which makes it easy to see what I’m cleaning, speeding up my routine.
On my first use, I vacuumed just my bedroom—mind you, I had vacuumed it only two days prior—so I didn’t expect to find much debris. To my shock, I filled the entire dust bin in one go! I have regular pile carpeting with no rugs, and I was stunned by how much my robot vacuums and the canister had missed. The suction power is incredible. Thinking it might just be an anomaly, I moved on to the other bedrooms and had the same experience. Then I tackled the high-pile area rug in my family room, which is notoriously difficult to vacuum and is a favorite spot for my cats. Once again, I had just vacuumed it recently, so I wasn’t anticipating much hair. Surprisingly, I ended up filling the canister to capacity four times just from that one rug. It was gross yet relieving and astonishing to see the amount of dirt collected.
I also want to note that the vacuum handled my high-pile rugs exceptionally well without tangling. I have another high-pile rug in my living room, and it managed that with equal ease. Just to clarify, the canister isn’t small; I simply had a lot of dirt to pick up!
I’m truly impressed with this vacuum. It is considerably heavier than my stick vacuum, but it offers so many more features. The cord is a great length, allowing me to use it in multiple rooms without needing to unplug. Although it doesn’t retract, this isn’t a deal-breaker for me.
The wand comes with several fantastic attachments, and it’s very easy to detach the handheld piece. The only change I would make is to have a place on the vacuum body for all the attachments; it currently only accommodates three, which is a minor inconvenience.
Overall, this is a fantastic vacuum, especially for the price. If you have pets, I highly recommend it!

We have two dogs and a cat, and we struggled with previous vacuums, including our last Bissell. This vacuum performs exceptionally well and automatically stalls the brush if something gets tangled, preventing any wrap-around issues. It cleans the carpet thoroughly, revealing a significant amount of pet hair that we hadn’t been able to remove before. It’s made steaming much easier, as it picks up everything efficiently. I highly recommend it so far; it seems to be very well made by Shark.

I held off on writing this review for a couple of months to truly assess the Shark vacuum’s performance. After having a Dyson for 10 years that finally broke down, I searched for a strong yet affordable replacement. I used to think Dyson was the best, but I was completely mistaken—I wish I had chosen this Shark from the start!
Assembling it was a breeze, and it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver. The canister empties from both sides, with the top half effectively trapping larger items like Legos, making cleanup effortless for any accidentally sucked-up treasures.
I was pleasantly surprised by the self-powered head—it zoomed right out of my hand! The vacuum is incredibly easy to handle, especially with the lift-away feature.
The suction power is impressive—this vacuum picks up pet hair I didn’t even know was there! If it can handle husky fur, it can tackle anything. It also easily manages my long human hair. Cleaning the head is straightforward, though I find myself doing it every 4-5 uses, which is a bit gross but shows how well it picks up hair.
My carpets look fantastic now, and I’m amazed by the amount of dust and dirt hiding in them, especially after thinking my Dyson had done a thorough job. The wand and main head feature lights, which is great for illuminating corners and revealing dirt, crumbs, and dust bunnies on my hardwood floors.
A couple of downsides: I have a lot of stairs, and managing the canister, hose, and cord can be a bit tricky, though I’m getting the hang of it. I do wish the cord were another 3-4 feet longer. My carpets are about 20 years old, so the brush head sometimes bounces around in heavily trafficked areas where the carpet is matted down. I just adjust my vacuuming technique to go with the carpet grain. That’s no fault of the Shark; I probably need to consider getting my carpets cleaned or replaced!
