I purchased this during a Black Friday sale while hosting family for the holiday. With five dogs and my three cats in the house, I put the vacuum to the test right away upon its arrival. After using it, I walked around barefoot and the floors felt spotless. Since I don’t have carpet, I can truly feel everything on the floor. The vacuum is a bit top-heavy, so it doesn’t stand well on its own—consider getting the hanging attachment if that’s a concern. The long cord is a plus, allowing me to clean an entire room without needing to unplug and re-plug. The vacuum head swivels and glides effortlessly, making it easy to navigate around furniture, and it lays flat enough to reach under the beds.
UPDATE: I just found in the manual how to store it without needing to buy any extra pieces. The top section can pop out and hook to the bottom, preventing it from tipping over. Very clever and helpful!

Easy to use and very comfortable; it completely replaces a traditional broom. Perfect for daily vacuuming instead of sweeping and moving dust around. EXCELLENT!

After a decade of cleaning houses and using various mini vacuums from leading brands, I recently tried this one and couldn’t be happier, especially for the price. It’s lightweight and maneuvers effortlessly. The suction is outstanding, effectively picking up everything from pet hair to wood debris around my wood stove. I would definitely buy it again.

I need to consider several factors, but overall, this brand and product are definitely worth it, especially since I got it at a better price than usual. Here are my honest thoughts on the product:

Despite these minor drawbacks, I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars. The only downside is that it heats up a bit faster compared to other machines I’ve owned.

My Dyson stick vacuum was becoming frustrating due to its cumbersome “flexible” extension wand. However, this unit features an extension pole that works wonderfully.

After using three Dyson products, we were frustrated with their high prices and short lifespans. So, we decided to try something more affordable until we figured out our next vacuum choice. We came across this unit and were intrigued by the reviews.
What a fantastic discovery! The corded design provides impressive power, and the 25-foot cord offers ample reach without constantly switching outlets. It’s lightweight, well-balanced, and comfortable to hold.
It excels at reaching ceiling corners, has a powerful brush for carpets, and is easy to empty and use. We wish we had found this vacuum sooner instead of getting caught up in the Dyson hype. You won’t regret purchasing this vacuum!

I bought this vacuum after my old Bissell gave out, and it ticks all the right boxes for me. It’s compact, lightweight, corded, and bagless – exactly what I wanted. With two cats at home, this vacuum picks up everything effortlessly. Its light weight makes it easy to vacuum my staircase, and it feels sturdy and well-made. Cleaning the brush is a cinch too. This is an excellent vacuum for small spaces. What used to be a chore is now a breeze!

I purchased this vacuum with the intention of replacing my Dyson DC33 for something more portable and user-friendly. With multiple dogs shedding everywhere, I vacuum often to maintain cleanliness. While the box claims it cleans better than an upright Dyson, my extensive testing in various rooms and on different flooring revealed that it fell short of my Dyson’s performance. However, I have to admit that the Shark Rocket excelled on various surfaces, and I plan to keep it for that reason.
Here’s a breakdown of my experience (I waited two weeks without vacuuming and cleaned both vacuums between tests):
Upon unboxing, I tried the Shark in a carpeted hallway. The vacuum felt too lightweight, often pulling away and skipping across the surface, making it challenging to achieve a deep clean. I found that angling it and applying some pressure helped, but it was awkward to handle. The Shark did collect a considerable amount of hair and dust, filling its canister completely. Afterward, I used my Dyson on the same carpet and was surprised to see it collected almost a quarter of its canister with debris that the Shark missed.
Next, I moved to a room with hardwood floors. Using the Shark with its hardwood tool, I was impressed by how effectively it cleaned. The microfiber cloth was dirty afterward, and the floor felt significantly cleaner than after using the Dyson. It was also easier to maneuver under furniture. To confirm my findings, I cleaned the hardwood with the Dyson first, then the Shark, and once again, the Shark outperformed. Its microfiber pad clearly cleaned the hardwood floors better and reached under furniture more efficiently.
I tried the Shark in a bathroom with tile flooring and achieved similar results. Starting with the Shark, its canister filled halfway, while the Dyson picked up nothing after. In another bathroom, the Dyson collected some debris, but again, the Shark did better.
For a large area rug in my living room, I vacuumed one half with the Dyson first and then with the Shark. The Dyson removed most hair and dust, but the Shark collected additional debris that the Dyson missed, particularly along the edges. The Dyson tends to pull up the edges of the rug, making it difficult to vacuum closely. The Shark, on its lower setting, cleaned the edges without this issue. When I cleaned out both vacuums and used the Shark first on the other half of the rug, it quickly filled its canister with hair. The Dyson picked up a little afterward, but the hassle of using it on the rug wasn’t worth it; the Shark was much easier to handle and cleaned effectively.
In summary, the Shark Rocket surpasses my Dyson DC33 on hardwood, tile, and area rugs, but it lacks the performance on carpets for a full replacement. I’m impressed enough to keep it for all my flooring needs except carpet. One downside is that holding the Shark for extended periods can be tiring, and it doesn’t stand on its own, so it must be held or laid down between uses. If you’re looking for a convenient vacuum for hardwood, tile, or area rugs, I highly recommend this model. However, if you need a replacement for an upright vacuum mainly for carpet use, I suggest looking for another upright. The Shark is great for quick clean-ups on carpets, but I don’t think it’s sufficient for full carpet cleaning tasks.
UPDATE:
After using the vacuum for a few weeks, my opinion remains unchanged. It’s a great vacuum but not a complete replacement for an upright. I recently used it to clean my car and was impressed with how well the included micro cleaning kit tackled hard-to-reach areas like vents and cup holders. It also worked well on my cloth seats, making them noticeably cleaner. However, I stopped using it on the car floors after it sucked up a few small pebbles, which caused noise in the canister and could have led to damage. For cleaning car floors, I recommend using a shop vac first, then the Shark for seats and hard-to-reach spots. If you plan to clean your car with the Shark, I highly recommend getting the micro cleaning kit—it made a significant difference.

Finding a vacuum that’s both affordable and effective can be quite a challenge, but I have to say, this vacuum is absolutely fantastic! 🤩🤩🤩 It’s comparable to a Dyson without the hefty price tag! The suction power is exceptional—cleaning up cat litter is a breeze. I primarily have hardwood floors, but it also does a great job on my thick carpet rugs. The cord is pleasantly long, though I’ve noticed that the vacuum head tends to lift if I move too quickly, requiring a little nudge from my foot to keep it level. I can easily vacuum under beds and most furniture, except for the really low pieces. Since I bought this vacuum, my home feels significantly cleaner, especially with a shedding cat around. The price was just right, and I’m so thankful they shipped it to my APO! I absolutely love this vacuum!!! I typically don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience.
