Pros
- Vibrant Color Selection: The set includes 20 vivid colors that are great for blending and creating stunning visual effects. This variety is ideal for artists and crafters looking to explore their creativity.
- Real Brush Tips: The genuine nylon brush tips provide excellent control, allowing for both fine details and broad strokes. This feature gives a traditional brush feel in a convenient pen form.
- Durable Design: These pens are built to last and are suitable for all skill levels. They hold up well during use, showing minimal fraying, which is a significant advantage over some other brands.

- Great Customer Support: In case of any issues, the brand seems responsive and ready to assist, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Cons
- Color Identification Challenge: The packaging does not clearly indicate which brush corresponds to each color, leading to some guesswork when selecting shades.
- Color Similarity: Some colors in the set are quite similar, which may not be ideal for those looking for a wide variety in distinct shades.
- Learning Curve: While generally easy to use, those new to watercolor brush pens may find it takes some practice to master blending and control.
Conclusion
Overall, the GenCrafts Watercolor Brush Pens are a fantastic option for anyone interested in watercolor art, from beginners to experienced artists. With a generous color palette and high-quality brush tips, they offer great value for the price. Just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve and keep an eye out for color identification issues. These brush pens are far superior to the last brand I tried. The tips stay intact without fraying or splitting, and the pigment flows effortlessly. So far, I’m very pleased.

I’m really impressed with these! The brush tips are durable and stay intact, making them perfect for capturing small to medium details. The ink quality is excellent. Achieving non-streaky backgrounds can be a bit tricky and often requires two coats for full opacity, but that’s to be expected with watercolor brush pens.
